SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:
The AI/ML Senior Cloud Architect serves as a technical advisor and solutions expert, working closely with our sales, engineering, and product teams to design and present tailored solutions to prospective clients. They also lead client engagements in the design and build of scalable next-generation cloud architectures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Client Engagement & Leadership: Lead client relationships and multidisciplinary teams; drive strategy and execution
- Project & Product Management: Manage roadmaps, and define product/service strategies aligned to client needs; Develop and oversee implementation roadmaps for data modernization, AI/ML pipelines, and cloud-native analytics platforms
- Solution Architecture: Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS-based AI/ML and data solutions; Collaborate closely with sales and business development teams in presales activities, including crafting proposals, presenting technical capabilities, and responding to RFPs
- Engineering Oversight: Lead engineering teams, conduct code reviews, define technical direction, and ensure best practices
- Hands-On Contribution: Write IaC, develop POCs/MVPs, automate processes, and contribute to open-source and internal tooling; Provide deep expertise in AWS services such as SageMaker, Redshift, Glue, Bedrock, and S3
- Thought Leadership & Education: Deliver presentations, write blogs, support sales efforts, and stay current on AWS and AI/ML trends
- Other duties as assigned: Write cool blog posts, do talks at community events, help us achieve additional certifications in the AWS Partner Community, help our clients solve all sorts of problems
EXPECTATIONS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Up to 30% travel expected to support client engagements, workshops, and presentations (domestic and/or international).
- Active participation in presales efforts including solutioning, scoping, and contributing to Statements of Work (SOW).
- Must be proactive and excel at identifying opportunities by seeking out work and engaging with stakeholders across client organizations to uncover areas where Trek10 can deliver meaningful impact.
- Must be comfortable with executive-level communication and articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, client-facing consulting environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and balance strategic architecture work with tactical implementation guidance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 6 years of general IT experience (programming, hardware, software, etc); or 8+ years of general IT experience (programming, hardware, software, etc.
- 8+ years of experience in data-centric cloud architecture, 5+ years of experience with AI/ML, with 3+ years specifically in AWS-based data and ML solutions.
- Hands-on expertise with data lakes, streaming data, and AI/ML workloads in production environments.
- Deep familiarity with AWS AI/ML services (SageMaker, Comprehend, Rekognition, Bedrock etc.) and data services (Glue, Athena, Redshift, etc.).
- Strong background in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Experience with MLOps pipelines, CI/CD, model deployment, and monitoring in cloud environments.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps – Professional or equivalent certification strongly preferred in addition to the AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty
- Able to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and presentation skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced experience building scalable, automated infrastructure
- Advanced experience in large-scale enterprise IT environments
- Advanced experience working in a consultative, client-facing consulting role
- Advanced experience with Cloud Native patterns with services like AWS Lambda
- Able to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
- If working for our Federal Practice area
- Previous or current experience with Federal / Government stakeholders
- Intermediate experience with newer ATO strategies such as Fast Track or Continuous ATO
