AI/ML Developer – Join Qadr AIBuild intelligent features that benefit the ummah.

Qadr AI is working to bring advanced Islamic technology to millions of Muslims worldwide. One of the core parts of our mission is building intelligent tools — especially around Qur’ān recitation, speech recognition, learning, and personalized guidance. If you have experience in AI/ML and want your skills to serve the ummah, you’re in the right place.

We’re looking for an AI/ML Developer who can help us design, train, and deploy models that power real features inside our app. This includes everything from data preprocessing to ASR pipelines to real-time predictions.

What You’ll Do
  • Work on models for Qur’ān recitation analysis, tajwīd detection, and speech recognition (ASR).

  • Train and fine-tune ML models using audio datasets, embeddings, and custom architectures.

  • Build pipelines for data cleaning, segmentation, labeling, and evaluation.

  • Deploy models through APIs or lightweight on-device inference.

  • Work with the backend team to integrate real-time predictions into the app.

  • Optimize models for speed, accuracy, and mobile performance.

  • Help develop new AI features that can strengthen the user’s connection to their deen.

What You Should Know
  • Strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning.

  • Experience with Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and basic data engineering.

  • Knowledge of ASR, audio processing, or embeddings (nice but not required).

  • Familiar with APIs, model deployment, and inference optimization.

  • Able to explain ideas clearly and collaborate with developers.

  • Sincere intention to use your skills for something beneficial.

Nice to Have (Not Required)
  • Experience with Whisper, wav2vec, or custom ASR models.

  • Knowledge of NLP or LLMs.

  • Familiarity with dataset augmentation and labeling tools.

  • Understanding of real-time audio processing.

  • Interest in Islamic learning tools and recitation technology.

What You’ll Gain
  • A chance to build AI that directly benefits the ummah.

  • Hands-on experience with impactful, high-value ML systems.

  • A supportive team that works with barakah in mind.

  • Opportunities for paid roles once revenue begins, in shā’ Allāh.

  • Possible equity options as the company grows.

  • Reward in the ākhirah for any benefit your work provides to others.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
