About AIMS Martek
Our AIMS (AI Marketing Solutions) team within the Marketing Technology group impacts HubSpot's growth by developing cutting-edge AI solutions that drive marketing effectiveness. As a highly visible team, we develop both customer-facing and internal HubSpot solutions while working closely with partners across the marketing organization.

About the Role
As an AI Engineer on the AIMS (AI in Marketing Solutions) team, you'll be at the forefront of applying artificial intelligence to solve real marketing challenges at HubSpot. This role combines hands-on software engineering with practical AI implementation to create tools and systems that enhance our marketing capabilities.
You'll develop and implement AI-powered solutions that help our marketing teams work more effectively, from automating repetitive tasks to generating insights from marketing data. Working collaboratively with the broader AIMS team, you'll build applications that leverage modern AI technologies like large language models, vector databases, and machine learning.
The ideal candidate has strong software engineering skills, an interest in AI/ML technologies, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical teammates. You'll collaborate with marketing stakeholders, product teams, and other engineering groups to understand requirements and deliver solutions that address business needs.
This role offers significant growth opportunities as you develop expertise in both AI technologies and marketing applications. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality software solutions and implement cloud-based infrastructure for AI applications
- Contribute to R&D efforts by researching and testing new AI technologies and approaches
- Assist with functional design, prototyping, testing, and documentation of AI solutions
- Help evaluate and prioritize AI project ideas based on technical feasibility and potential impact
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams to implement AI solutions that meet business needs
- Communicate progress updates and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Create clear documentation for AI systems and processes to ensure maintainability
- Share knowledge and best practices with team members around AI technologies and implementation
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and contribute ideas for potential applications in marketing
Skills and Requirements:
- [REQUIRED] 2+ years of software development or equivalent technical experience
- [REQUIRED] Experience with or strong interest in applying Generative AI to marketing technology solutions
- [REQUIRED] Familiarity with marketing technology tools (e.g., workflow automation tools, CDPs, CRMs, Data Warehouses)
- [REQUIRED] Working knowledge of web services APIs and cloud services (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- [REQUIRED] Experience developing REST APIs and working with databases
- [REQUIRED] Proficiency with version control systems (GIT)
- Understanding of software testing principles and practices
- Familiarity with AI technologies such as LLMs, Python, NLP, and OpenAI's tools
- Familiarity with vector databases, transformers, and AI data models
- [REQUIRED] Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and staying current with AI developments
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across different departments

Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
