Lead technical vision and hands-on architecture for agentic AI and LLMs within Workday. Conduct client AI readiness assessments, configure Workday-native AI, design production-grade integrations and automation, build governance and reusable accelerators, and translate assessments into transformation roadmaps and go-to-market assets.
The summary above was generated by AI

Founded by former Workday clients, we value partnership and engagement as a cornerstone of our business. With years of functional and technical experience in all phases of Workday's deployment life cycle, we can determine the most efficient integration designs and rapid deployment strategies. We develop maintainable solutions and provide support for integration testing and updates for new Workday releases.

You will be the technical visionary  and architect for our Workday AI Transformation practice, the critical bridge between emerging AI capabilities and production-grade delivery. This is a role for a hands-on leader who thrives on defining the frontier of applied agentic AI within the Workday ecosystem, rather than executing a pre-packaged roadmap.

In this role, you will define how LLMs, Workday-native AI (e.g., Workday Illuminate, Workday Extend, Agent System of Record), and autonomous agents function within enterprise HR and Finance environments. You will balance vision with hands-on execution: conducting client assessments, configuring Workday-native AI capabilities directly, architecting AI-driven delivery automation, and translating AI strategy into high-value consulting offerings.

What You'll DoTechnical Vision & Practice Strategy
  • Define Technical Direction: Set the architectural vision for agentic AI, LLMs, and ecosystem solutions across the Workday practice.
  • Integrate Ecosystem Solutions: Lead the architecture strategy for combining Workday-native tools (Illuminate, Extend, Agent System of Record) and partner solutions (e.g., Paradox, Evisort, Sana) across complex client environments.
  • Build AI Governance: Define governance, risk, and compliance frameworks to help client HR and Finance leaders safely adopt and scale Workday AI.
  • Productize Service Offerings: Partner with practice leaders to translate emerging AI patterns into repeatable consulting assets, accelerators, and deployment services.
Client Assessments & Hands-On Configuration
  • Lead AI Readiness Assessments: Evaluate client and internal Workday environments across configuration, data structure, and business process readiness.
  • Configure Workday-Native AI: Hands-on configuration of Workday-native AI and agentic capabilities within client engagements.
  • Translate Insights to Strategy: Convert assessment findings and hands-on configuration work into actionable, prioritized transformation roadmaps for clients.
Solution Architecture & Go-To-Market
  • Drive GTM Technical Architecture: Partner with sales and practice leaders to architect AI components for client proposals, executive strategy sessions, and live demonstrations.
  • Build Practice Accelerators: Design and build AI-driven assets and accelerators that differentiate our Workday deployment and optimization services.
AI Delivery Tooling & Practice Acceleration
  • Automate Consulting Workflows: Design and deploy AI-enabled delivery tooling to automate repetitive consulting tasks, data migration, integration development, testing, and tenant audits.
  • Embed AI in Practice Workflows: Work directly with functional and technical leads to embed AI directly into active delivery workflows.
  • Establish Architecture Standards: Define technical standards, reference architectures, reusable prompt/integration patterns, and responsible AI guardrails for the practice.
What Makes You Successful
  • Pragmatic Execution: You build for production, latency, security, and real enterprise constraints—not theoretical concepts or isolated proofs-of-concept.
  • Vision & Autonomy: You don't wait for a roadmap; you evaluate emerging tools and build the agenda from the ground up.
  • Strategic Communication: You seamlessly translate complex AI architecture into clear, business-focused value for executive and C-suite stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • 8+ Years in the Workday Ecosystem: Deep experience in Workday technical and functional architecture across HCM, Payroll, Time & Absence, and/or Finance.
  • Consulting & Professional Services Background: Proven track record in client delivery, solution architecture, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
  • Hands-On Workday Configuration: Demonstrated ability to configure Workday directly
  • Applied Agentic & LLM Knowledge: Strong understanding of agentic system patterns—tool use, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), context management, memory, and guardrails—applied to enterprise data.
  • Production Deployment Track Record: Experience taking AI/automation tools or complex Workday integrations from initial prototype through to production deployment and maintenance.
  • Assessment & Roadmap Capability: Experience conducting process or technical assessments and translating findings into executive-ready recommendations.
Preferred
  • Background in reinforcement learning, tool-use, or multi-agent systems
  • Experience or strong familiarity with Workday-native AI capabilities, Workday Extend, and API integrations
  • Experience publishing or speaking at industry or academic AI venues
  • Familiarity with Workday's evolving AI capabilities and partner ecosystem
  • Background as an AI/ML engineer or data scientist, or close partnership with those functions

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
