Overview of the role:

  • We are seeking a skilled Technical Architect/Developer to join our team, focusing on building and optimizing internal use cases for Salesforce. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions within the Salesforce platform, with a particular emphasis on Agentforce. Your primary focus will be on designing and developing personal assistant agents and autonomous agents to enhance our internal processes and workflows.

  • You are both a big picture thinker and an in-depth problem solver, your knowledge and skills are both broad and deep. You take pride in designing systems that stand up to high volumes and won't fail at critical points. You have a good mix of technical and enterprise skills when it comes to architecting a solution.

  • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Salesforce development, experience with building intelligent agents, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for leveraging technology to drive efficiency and innovation within the organization.

  • You must be passionate, fully engaged, and ready to tackle challenges head-on while solving problems independently. Genuine care for your work and a commitment to delivering exceptional results are essential. This role demands resilience, creativity, and a proactive approach, requiring you to take initiative and drive success without waiting for direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather comprehensive requirements and translate into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform.

  • Utilize your expertise in Apex, Flow, REST API, and other Salesforce technologies to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality Salesforce solutions.

  • Create proof of concepts (POC’s) for use cases, requiring thorough evaluation and feasibility analysis before implementation.

  • Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions aligned with business objectives and use cases; identify gaps between current and desired end states.

  • Perform thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

  • Conduct rigorous unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and functionality of the implemented solutions.

  • Act as the go-to expert for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Salesforce applications and integrations.

  • Design solutions with scalability and performance in mind, ensuring that our Salesforce applications can grow and adapt to future needs.

  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, customizations, and processes.

  • Offer continuous support and maintenance for Salesforce applications, including troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and best practices.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the current capabilities, features, and roadmap of Agentforce

  • Continuously update your technical knowledge to keep pace with evolving technologies and industry best practices

  • Ensure the technical integrity and quality of all deliverables.

  • Actively participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Work collaboratively with team members towards shared goals.

  • Attend monthly code release calls happening off hours. 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in development, with a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects.

  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce data model, security, and best practices.

  • Experience with SFDX, Jenkins, GIT, Github, VSCode, and other dev/CI/CD processes and applications

  • Experience with LLM prompting (chatGPT, Claude, etc) through professional or personal use

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate through organizational complexities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment.

  • Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder, Salesforce Platform Developer 1 Certifications

  • Understanding of prompt builder including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of other programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • Salesforce Platform Developer 2, AI Associate, AI Specialist, Data Architect, Integration Architect Certifications

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $157,600 to $253,000.

For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $157,600 to $253,000.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
