The Senior Program Manager (SPM) will lead a cross-functional team responsible for managing aftermarket repair, overhaul, and return-to-service activities across a portfolio of defense and/or aerospace products. The SPM will serve as the primary customer interface and be accountable for program performance, cost, schedule, and quality metrics. This individual will drive operational excellence, manage contract execution, and lead strategic initiatives to grow and improve the aftermarket business.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the execution of aftermarket repair programs, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of customer requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer engagements, including program status updates, performance reviews, and issue resolution.
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, and earned value metrics, with full responsibility for financial and operational performance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, operations, quality, and contracts to ensure alignment on priorities.
  • Develop and execute recovery plans, continuous improvement initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support business growth through proposal development, pricing strategies, and customer negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with company processes, government regulations, and customer contracts.
  • Foster a high-performance team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and customer satisfaction.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree and significant experience in program management, with at least 3 years in aftermarket, sustainment, or repair services.
  • Strong leadership executive communication experience.
  • Proven track record of managing complex programs with cross-functional teams and external customers.
  • Experience with government and/or defense customers (e.g., DoD, international military clients) and proposals.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and program management tools.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • PMP certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience with depot stand-up, repair flow optimization, or performance-based logistics.
  • Ability to influence and lead in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience dealing with both domestic and international customers.
  • Understanding of FAR/DFARS and government contracting practices.
  • Continuous improvement / Lean / Six Sigma experience a plus.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $150370 - $255630
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
