This writer will serve as an essential part of Compose.ly’s support team for a new financial / loan client. This writer will help uplevel their content to match their new branding, elevate their tone to connect with clients, and optimize for conversion. Metrics of success will be rankings and conversion of their new site and increased email performance.

Profile overview

The client is a U.S.-based specialty finance firm that has been supporting small, mid-sized and enterprise businesses since 1998. They have financed over $3 billion in equipment leases and loans across more than 25,000 customers. They offer a diverse array of financing solutions—including application-only programs, commercial lending up to $50 million, working capital, and vendor/dealer or bank partnership programs—serving industries from agriculture and construction to technology and healthcare.

Scope: 3-4 month project (~55-60 hours total)

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Compose.ly’s service team to create and review all deliverables with the client. 
  • Review new content for sales one sheeters and website service pages. This copy was written internally, but they’d like it reviewed and optimized for their brand tone, CRO, and SEO. (approx 20 pages each, but very templated)
  • Review already created emails for brand alignment and opportunity
  • Create compelling email copy for launches, events, and nurture sequences that resonate with their unique personas
  • Conduct thorough research (both internal and external) on industry topics, trends, and products to infuse in the written content
Skills and qualifications
  • Proven experience as a content writer, preferably within financial / loan industry
  • Exceptional writing abilities and the skill to adapt tone and style to match brand and audience. The candidate must also have impeccable grammar and attention to detail.
  • Light strategic collaboration to guide the team on the most effective content piece based on the message they want to convey
  • Excellent conversion copy writing and optimization
  • Ability to meet in US Time Zone hours
