What you’ll do

Stripe is seeking a AEO & GEO Search Marketing Manager to lead the channel. This individual will play a critical role in growing new user acquisition from platforms including ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews / AI Mode. The scope of the role includes LLM Search Optimization (LLMO), also known as Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) or Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), improving agent experience, and integrating AI capabilities to improve the performance and efficiency of SEO and LLM Search channels. 

This individual will spearhead efforts by developing and executing a roadmap of activities and experiments to improve LLM Search performance. This individual will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional partners including Growth Marketing, Content Marketing, Engineering, and Analytics at Stripe.

Responsibilities 
  • LLM Search performance: grow the LLM Search channel (AEO or GEO).
  • Agent experience: optimize Stripe.com so AI agents can efficiently access and take action on behalf of users. 
  • AI-efficiency: spearhead the development and integration of AI capabilities to improve the performance and efficiency of the SEO and LLM Search programs.
  • Performance reporting: deliver regular reports and updates on LLM search performance to track progress and identify opportunities.
Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements
  • 5 years of proven experience creating and executing SEO strategies, with full-time focus on LLMO/AEO/GEO in recent years.
  • Strong understanding and curiosity of traditional search and LLM platforms, including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
  • Strong technical expertise in making websites SEO and LLM-friendly.
  • Proven ability to translate data into insights and decisions that drive measurable growth.
  • Demonstrated understanding of user intent to prioritize actions that deliver positive outcomes for users.
  • Motivated self-starter, demonstrating the ability to take initiative, problem-solve independently, and carry out tasks with high agency.
  • Proven ability to independently lead the development and execution of roadmaps across a large group of cross-functional stakeholders. 
  • High attention to craft and detail, ensuring precision in all tasks.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work extensively in Google Drive apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Excel, Looker, Tableau, Google Analytics and other reporting software.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
Preferred qualifications
  • Proficiency in NLP, vector search, and RAG.
  • In-house, B2B SEO/LLMO experience
  • B2B SaaS experience
  • Experience working in the following industries: payments, billing, accounting, tax, startups, or fintech.
  • SQL experience and ability to gather data.
  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years relevant experience.
