The Advisory Manager for UHNW will provide financial advisory services, manage client relationships, oversee junior staff, and drive operational efficiency in accounting processes.

As a Advisory Manager, you will provide comprehensive financial and business advisory services to private, owner-run companies, including family-owned businesses and start-ups. We do this by providing outsourced accounting services, cash flow modeling, financial reporting. We also represent companies in securing loans and financing, develop succession plans and exit strategies, and support company growth through tax planning, risk management, system and processes optimization and merger and acquisition integration.
In addition, as part of the Advisory Service Line, our Business Enterprise Services Team (BEST) works with clients on their ERP system implementation needs, introducing and utilizing technology, to streamline their accounting processes and procedures.

Requirements:
- An active CPA license.
- BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience between both public accounting and industry as part of an accounting function.
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience in a family owned business, family enterprise, family office, multi-family office, or wealth management accounting environment catering to UHNW individuals
- Experience with data conversions, interfaces/integrations, reporting and customization within various ERP systems.
- Experience with multiple entity accounting – some experience with Trusts (revocable, Irrevocable, Grantor, Non-Grantor), Single member LLCs, LPs, Partnerships Interests is preferred but not mandatory
- Experience with Insurance renewals, bill pay (RAMP, Bill.com, Brex, Expensify and similar tools)
- Experience using QuickBooks, Intacct and NetSuite and/or other accounting packages.
- Demonstrated management experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience developing and mentoring junior level staff.
- Strong operational and technical accounting background, including ability to research complex technical accounting issues independently.
- Professionalism and discretion in interacting with firm leadership and client executives.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to address both executive and technical level audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and deliver outsourced accounting support tailored to private, owner-run companies, including startups and family-owned businesses.
- Develop and maintain cash flow models and prepare financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Act as a liaison for clients in securing loans and financing, including factoring and other lending structures.
- Guide clients through succession planning and exit strategies, ensuring smooth transitions and long-term viability.
- Provide strategic tax planning and risk mitigation advice to support business growth.
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting systems and operational processes.
- Champion sustainable workplace practices by supporting remote-first operations, promoting paperless workflows through digital collaboration tools, participating in recycling initiatives to minimize paper use, and consistently demonstrate alignment with BPM’s values.
