As an Advanced Markets Consultant, you will serve as a subject matter expert on complex insurance and financial planning strategies, providing advanced case design support to advisors and internal partners. In this role, you deliver guidance on estate planning, business succession, and high-net-worth client solutions, while creating customized illustrations and offering technical expertise. You collaborate closely with product development and actuarial teams, contribute to advisor training and education, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. This position plays a critical role in driving sales growth through strategic consultation and advanced planning expertise.
The Team
The Advanced Concepts Design team is a specialized group of professionals responsible for illustrating advanced sales concepts and creating spreadsheet solutions for scenarios not supported by MassMutual Designs, such as Premium Finance, ChBEP Business Valuation, Single Premium Split Dollar, ESVR, and Advanced COLI illustrations. The team also provides annual written collateral for policies financed by financial institutions and serves as a liaison between premium financing lenders, agents, and the Home Office. Additionally, the team offers expertise for MassMutual Designs initiatives involving concept updates and new additions and is the sole provider of Social Security training and concept support.

As anAdvanced Markets Consultant,you will provide strategic counsel to producers on the use of high-level insurance products and services, ensuring they are equipped to meet client needs effectively. You respond to the most complex inquiries from agents and clients, delivering expert guidance and solutions. In addition, you may develop customized sensitivity analyses and illustrations for key client presentations and assist actuarial and product development teams in creating new products. You also will play a leadership role by mentoring and guiding junior staff, fostering their growth and development.

The Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ Years of financial services experience
- 3+ years' experience with advanced sales concepts such as Deferred Compensation, 162 Bonus, Split Dollar etc. OR 3+ years' experience as an Internal or External Wholesaler on a National Sales Desk with Life experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Series 6 at time of application or must obtain within 6 months of hire
The Ideal Qualifications
- Experience using Excel to create formulas, V-look ups, and pivot tables
- CLU, ChFC and/or CFP accreditations
- Excellent presentation skills
- Extremely organized, detail-oriented, capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment
