bswift is seeking an Advanced Analytics Engineer to shape the development of our new data lake infrastructure and provide advanced analytical support across business functions. This role will serve as a critical link between IT, analytics, and business stakeholders, leveraging analytical engineering and statistical expertise to drive strategic decisions and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Analytical Engineering & Infrastructure Development
Serve as the primary analytical liaison with IT for the design and implementation of a new enterprise data lake.
Stand up governance practices that ensure data quality is achieved through accuracy, completeness, and timely data flows.
Develop code and data structures that enable efficient data access and analysis, focusing on foundational architecture rather than surface-level reporting.
Stand up new data sources and ensure data integrity and usability for business applications.
Advanced Analytics & Statistical Insight
Apply statistical programming (e.g., Python, R, or SAS) to analyze complex datasets and support business decision-making.
Translate analytical findings into actionable insights for operational and strategic initiatives.
Support high-impact business questions with inferential thinking and real-world data interpretation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions align with business goals.
Requirements
SQL Expertise: 8+ years of experience writing complex queries and creating core logic for technical teams to create or use data tables.
Statistical Programming: Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming language with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.
Analytical Engineering: Experience working with IT to guide creation of analytical database structures.
Business Acumen: Proven ability to apply statistical methods in a business context, balancing rigor with practical decision-making.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Collaboration: Ability to work independently while effectively engaging with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a corporate or business environment (non-academic).
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering tools.
Exposure to AI/ML models and experience analyzing their impact.

Specific benefit offerings vary by position and may be subject to change.
Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description.
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $100,000-$110,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
