Administrative Assistant

Provides administrative and operational support to hotel management and departments. Responsibilities include tracking service scores and employee recognition, maintaining safety records, communicating updates, managing office and recognition supplies, handling calls, and supporting employee-relations events. The role also assists with transaction auditing and requires organization, multitasking, teamwork, physical stamina, and compliance with company policies.

As an administrative assistant, you perform a variety of support tasks that help the management team and all departments. You work closely with the General Manager on specialized tasks to help recognize top-performing employees and celebrate our accomplishments and service scores. You also play a role in auditing and verifying transactions within the accounting world.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Input and track service score data and employee recognitions.
- Input data and maintain records for the safety program.
- Communicate with multi-levels of leadership for operational updates and events.
- Maintain and update employee communication and activity boards.
- Organize, inventory, and maintain office and employee recognition supplies for hotel operations.
- Answers, screens, and redirects calls; takes and delivers messages, and provides information.
- Assist with employee relations functions including planning, marketing, and organizing of events.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must pass a pre-employment background check that could include a credit check.
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs./11kg.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
