This job description outlines the responsibilities and qualifications for the role of Administrative Assistant II, supporting the Vice President in the Global Submarine and International MOFN team. Here's a summary:

Key Contributions:

  • Calendar management: Scheduling meetings, appointments, and calls.
  • Travel coordination: Booking flights, accommodations, and preparing itineraries.
  • Expense report preparation and compliance.
  • Drafting and managing correspondence such as emails, memos, and presentations.
  • Event and meeting organization, including logistics and material preparation.
  • Operational dashboard/report creation and maintenance for activity insights.
  • Handling confidential information with professionalism.

The Must-Have:

  • Experience in administrative support, ideally in a corporate setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Capability to handle confidential information appropriately.

The Nice To Have:

  • Experience with data management/reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Multilingual skills or exposure to international business.

Pay Range:

The annual pay range for this position is $43,900 - $70,100 USD

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
