Where we work:
This is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in our Austin TX office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.
About your skills:
- Revenue Recognition Fluency: You understand how revenue rules should be applied in RevPro and why they matter.
- Operational Discipline: You treat every month-end close as a chance to prove your system runs clean and smooth.
- Collaborative Partnering: You work well with consultants, auditors, and internal stakeholders alike.
About this role:
As a Senior Zuora RevPro Analyst, you’ll serve as Udemy’s internal expert for Zuora Revenue (RevPro), the backbone of our revenue recognition process for our consumer subscription business. You will not be responsible for designing or architecting the initial system—that’s in the hands of an external implementation partner. Instead, you'll serve as the internal point of contact during implementation and take full ownership post go-live.
RevPro will serve as our centralized revenue subledger, responsible for applying revenue rules and generating journal entries that feed into NetSuite. You’ll work across Accounting, Finance, and Compliance teams to make sure those rules are configured correctly, results are accurate, and the month-end process runs smoothly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Serve as the internal business and technical lead for Zuora RevPro during and after implementation.
- Partner with Accounting and external consultants to validate RevPro configuration against ASC 606 policies.
- Own configuration and ongoing updates to RevPro revenue rules, including contract modifications, SSP allocation, and performance obligations.
- Monitor revenue processing jobs and troubleshoot errors or variances during close.
- Ensure accurate and timely generation of journal entries from RevPro and their successful posting into NetSuite.
- Support auditors with documentation, controls evidence, and system access during SOX reviews.
- Maintain process documentation, system SOPs, and change control logs.
- Train and support Accounting team members in RevPro usage and reporting.
What you’ll have:
- 5+ years of experience in revenue systems, technical accounting, or finance systems roles.
- Direct experience with Zuora Revenue (RevPro), including post-go-live support and configuration.
- Strong understanding of ASC 606, SaaS/subscription models, and revenue automation principles.
- Experience with ERP journal entry flows, ideally NetSuite.
- SOX compliance experience, including evidence preparation and audit support.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort owning critical close processes.
