The Role

We're looking for an Ad Operations Manager to own trafficking, tagging, and campaign QA across every paid channel our B2B team runs: Programmatic, Direct I/O, Paid Social, and Paid Search. The role is primarily dedicated to one of Wpromote's largest B2B accounts, a leading financial software company with multiple product lines and business units, with additional support across our other B2B clients as needed. Programmatic and direct buys will generate most of the day-to-day trafficking volume, but you'll be the single point of accountability for tracking and campaign setup across all channels, so the team has one consistent standard rather than channel-by-channel workarounds. You'll work alongside our channel teams, Client Service, and Analytics as the person who makes sure every campaign is set up correctly, tracked accurately, and launched on time.

This is a hands-on technical role. You'll traffic creatives, build and QA tags, troubleshoot tracking issues, and keep the measurement plumbing clean so the media and analytics teams can trust the data. B2B campaigns often involve long conversion paths, multiple tracking systems, and lead data that has to flow cleanly from ad click to CRM, so you'll need to be comfortable working across ad servers, tag managers, platform pixels, and marketing automation tools.

You Will Be

  • Trafficking all programmatic and direct I/O creatives in Campaign Manager 360, including standard, HTML5, and third-party served creatives, and ensuring every setting is right before launch
  • Building, implementing, and QAing impression trackers, click trackers, and daisy-chained tags across CM360, DSPs, and publisher partners, including passing macros and custom variables through the chain so downstream systems get the data they need
  • Implementing and QAing site-side tracking across Google Tag Manager, GA4, and platform pixels (LinkedIn Insight Tag, Meta, and others), using data layer variables for triggers and troubleshooting when tracking breaks
  • Owning conversion tracking hygiene across channels, including UTM governance, conversion event setup, and coordinating offline conversion imports and CRM or marketing automation integrations with client teams
  • Fielding tagging and tracking requests from Media and Analytics teams, and making sure data lands where it needs to for reporting
  • Serving as the main point of contact for technical issues related to ad serving, verification vendors, and third-party tracking
  • Working with the Programmatic Activation team on missing assets, campaign pacing, and launch readiness
  • Supporting Paid Social and Paid Search teams on conversion tracking, pixel and tag setup, UTM consistency, and campaign QA so all channels report against the same measurement standard
  • Coordinating with Client Service to make sure client assets are delivered to all necessary parties on time
  • Managing intake, tracking, and documentation of trafficking and tagging requests so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Contributing to campaign performance reporting and flagging delivery, tracking, or data quality issues early
  • Documenting and improving ad ops processes and QA checklists as the team and client scope grow

You Must Have

  • 2-5 years of ad operations experience, ideally at an agency or ad tech company
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Campaign Manager 360: placements, creatives, tracking ads, Floodlight configuration, and the settings that quietly break campaigns when they're wrong
  • Fluency with impression trackers, click trackers, and HTML5 creatives, including how they embed and how to daisy-chain tags across ad server, DSP, and publisher
  • Experience with DSP tag setup, including using platform macros and custom variables to pass additional data through tags
  • Experience with tag management and web analytics, including Google Tag Manager and GA4, and using data layer variables to build triggers
  • Hands-on pixel implementation experience across the major platforms (LinkedIn, Meta, Google Ads, and others)
  • Familiarity with verification and viewability vendors such as IAS or DoubleVerify
  • Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and browser debugging tools
  • Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables and formulas
  • Strong understanding of media planning and buying processes and basic campaign KPIs (CTR, viewability, conversion rate, CPL)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical teammates and clients
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo) and how paid media data flows into them
  • Experience supporting B2B or SaaS advertisers
  • Experience on large, complex accounts with multiple stakeholders and business units
  • Familiarity with server-side tagging, consent management, or privacy-related tracking changes

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
