About the Role

The Actuarial Analyst will lead the analysis, research, and enhancement of actuarial processes that directly impact financial outcomes.

*Must reside in California, Georgia, Ohio, Utah, Washington, or Texas for consideration*

What You'll Do

  • Prepares routine to complex internal management analyses and actuarial/financial reports and/or external filings including pricing, reserving, benefit evaluation, trend setting, product development, experience analyses and membership estimates
  • Responds to questions regarding internal reports and/or external filings
  • Makes efficient use of automation tools to improve the timeliness, accuracy, and content of reports
  • Builds working knowledge of relevant industry data, internal data, company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies
  • Performs various actuarial and financial reporting tasks that are of a mathematical and quantitative nature
  • Documents and verifies analysis, recommendations and action items

What You'll Bring

  • At least one year of experience as an actuarial analyst or similar professional experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel 
  • Actuary certification is a plus
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-stage startup a plus

In taking a market-based approach to compensation, base pay may vary depending on location. Additionally, base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related skills and experience. The current expected salary range for this position is: $75,000 - $100,000.
