Accounting Manager

As an Accounting Manager for our NFT marketplace, you will play a critical role in managing our financial operations, ensuring compliance, implementing best practices, and providing support for the company's growth objectives. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general ledger, revenue recognition, accounts payable/receivable, and expense process

• Manage the month-end and year-end close process, including consolidations, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency

• Prepare and review financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, for accuracy and completeness

• Support tax preparation and filings

• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

• Evaluate and improve accounting systems, workflows, and reporting tools for efficiency and accuracy

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and scalability

• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to support audit and tax compliance activities

• Conduct financial analysis and provide ad-hoc reporting and support as needed to inform decision-making and drive business growth
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred

• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a minimum of 2 years in public accounting or auditing

• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and experience in applying them to complex accounting transactions

• Knowledge of NFTs, blockchain technology, digital assets subledger and digital asset markets is desirable

• Proven track record of managing accounting operations, driving process improvements, and ensuring regulatory compliance

• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance; experience with regulatory reporting is preferred

• Proficiency with ERP systems

• Ability to thrive in a remote work environment, demonstrating autonomy, initiative, and adaptability

The compensation for this position will vary based on geography and other factors (including years and depth of experience and expertise, and other business considerations). Additionally, this full-time role is eligible to receive benefits, as well as participate in Magic Eden’s equity plan. The final offer package will be at the company’s sole discretion.
