Accounting Senior Manager, Inventory

The Senior Manager, Inventory Accounting will lead the global inventory accounting function, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of inventory-related accounting in accordance with GAAP and internal policies. 
Reporting to the Senior Director of Corp Controller, the Senior Manager is responsible and accountable for accounting for Hardware inventory and COGS transitions, leading the global team reporting to this role.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)

• Lead an accurate and timely month-end close process by driving solutions at scale that benefit cross-functional teams and our reporting goals. 
• Assess and define inventory and COGS accounting policies and processes for hardware inventory. 
• Perform thorough reviews for all inventory related processes and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP, appropriate documentation for external reporting and audit/SOX requirements.
• Own the process to conduct the periodic inventory counts in third party warehouses and ensure SOX compliance throughout the entire process. 
• Lead collaboration with our cross functional partners, such as Hardware Operations, Business Systems, 3rd party warehouses, Finance and FP&A, Accounting, and Legal including but not limited to variance analysis, periodic business review results, and establish new processes in international countries. Communicate the accounting implication to stakeholders at all levels.
• Streamline and enhance processes and SOX compliant controls. Create efficiencies and simplification by leveraging technology solutions and automation.
• Support the company’s growth, in particular the integration of inventory accounting of new offerings and non-integrated companies.

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

• 7+ years of relevant inventory accounting experience, preferably with a combination of public accounting experience and progressive in-house inventory accounting experiences. 
• Balance between rolling up sleeves to execute results and leading a team with great leadership skills. Passionate about coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Netsuite experience is a must. 
• Strong operational accounting skills, including trouble shooting system errors, reviewing / approving journal entries, and compiling NetSuite reports 
• Strong ability to work cross functionally and proactively identify accounting issues, research applicable guidance and document accounting conclusions.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, work independently, be detail-oriented,  prioritize competing workloads, and manage the deliverables from business partners and team members in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work with multi-national subsidiaries and multi-cultural environment
