Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to perform accounting and financial operations activities that ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting across credit card payment channels. This includes recording transactions, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, monitoring payment activity, and resolving exceptions to support accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. The role conducts research and analysis to investigate discrepancies, manages and tracks transactional issues, and ensures timely resolution in accordance with company policies and procedures. Additionally, this position supports internal controls over financial and operational reporting by executing established processes, maintaining proper documentation, and applying knowledge of accounting principles and compliance requirements in daily activities, while collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and store operations to support reporting needs and ensure efficient financial operations.
What You Will Do
  • Prepare and record journal entries and accruals with proper documentation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Perform daily and periodic reconciliations of payment activity across credit card, debit, and private label platforms, ensuring timely resolution of variances.
  • Identify, research, and resolve transactional exceptions, including rejects, chargebacks, funding discrepancies, and aged items.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of financial reports, including sales variance, KPI tracking, and other recurring operational reporting.
  • Assist with month end and quarter end close processes and account variance explanations.
  • Maintain financial systems, reports, and data files to support accurate and efficient processing and reporting.
  • Support audit and compliance requirements, including SOX testing, documentation, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Respond to internal and store inquiries, manages ticketing systems and shared mailboxes, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • 2+ years experience in accounting, tax, finance (public or private) or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic GAAP concepts and financial controls (to apply this knowledge to the design and execution of activities within the respective area)
  • Intermediate skills in MS office programs (Excel, Word, Access)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Lowe's finance or accounting experience
  • 1-year Advanced skills in MS office programs (Excel, Word, Access)
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Experience with payment processing systems or financial reporting platforms (e.g., SmartView)
  • Knowledge of credit card, debit, and payment network operations
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and audit processes
