As an Account Manager at Lightspeed, you’ll be the go-to contact for a book of United States hospitality customers assigned to you. You will be responsible for building and maintaining lasting relationships with these accounts. With your knowledge of their objectives, you will be tasked with introducing them to Lightspeed’s suite of products and integrations to ensure they’re getting the best solution possible to help them achieve their goals.

What you'll be doing:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for your customers 
  • Guide qualifying customers through their upgrade path from basic platforms to more advanced platforms 
  • Demonstrate software solutions to your customers, from core POS products to modules and upgrades
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise the growth of your book of business
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to identify accounts at risk and prevent churn
  • Track key book of business metrics like added MRR and net retention
And a little bit of:
  • Building strong customer advocacy, increasing customer empathy and understanding throughout the company
  • Contributing as part of the wider team to achieve organisational objectives even if this means doing things that aren’t strictly within the scope of your role

What you need to bring:

  • 2-3 years of experience in an account management, sales development representative or similar role carrying a sales quota
  • Understanding of solution-based consultative sales in a SaaS environment
  • Ability to use Salesforce.com and other technologies to manage and organise pipeline
  • Committed to a culture of positivity and high performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Professional poise and confidence while communicating with executives
  • Value feedback and thrive on constant improvement and learning
  • Strong work ethic, and a self-driven desire to succeed
  • Strong task and time management


At Lightspeed, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your skillset, qualifications, experience, and market data. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We reasonably expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $40,000 to $43,000 USD, depending on the candidate’s location. Additionally, this role may be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. Lightspeed also provides a variety of employee benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, wellness, life and disability insurance, 401K plan and match, paid parental leave top-up, and paid time off. 

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within the United States, and refers to the amount Lightspeed is willing to pay at the time of this posting, which may vary depending on the candidate’s actual location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
