About Anzen

Anzen is rebuilding the wholesale insurance market from the ground up with AI. We specialize in specialty, executive, and casualty liability—complex products long underserved by technology. Our team brings deep experience in enterprise software, underwriting, and distribution.

Retail brokers across the U.S. rely on wholesale partners to place their toughest risks. Anzen is becoming their go-to—replacing phone calls, PDFs, and spreadsheets with real-time data, automation, and modern digital tools.

But wholesale is just the beginning. We’re expanding our platform to give retail brokers direct access to markets, insights, and tools that fundamentally change how they sell, quote, and underwrite. We’re not just streamlining transactions—we’re building the system brokers will rely on to run their business.

About the role
Anzen is seeking a skilled Account Manager to oversee a book of Executive Risk insurance and professional liability, reporting directly to the VP of Insurance Operations. The role involves collaboration with various cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, technology, finance, and others. At Anzen, we leverage AI and automation to provide the best coverage options quickly and efficiently.

What you'll do

  • Own and manage independently a book of Executive Risk insurance and Professional Liability, including Directors & Officers, Employment Practice Liability, Fiduciary, Errors & Omissions, Crime, etc.
  • Partner strategically with wholesale brokers to ensure our book’s retention/renewal rate remains above 85%.
  • Aim for an NPS score of at least 95% by being the first responsive and primary contact for our retail broker partners and their clients to provide excellent services on their policies placed through Anzen.
  • Be an integral partner with our carrier partners so that collectively, we can analyze and negotiate for the most comprehensive and competitive insurance options.
  • Be curious about different industry trends and evolving markets to act as an expert for our retail broker partners and their clients.
  • Be responsible for owning post-binding activities and policy delivery once a sale is closed.
  • Handle account maintenance work such as endorsement, cancellation, etc. throughout the policy’s lifecycle.
  • Train, delegate, and provide feedback on repetitive tasks to BPO support such as loss runs when needed.
  • Be an internal beta user and provide proactive feedback on new product features, including Anzen’s use of AI and workflow automation.
  • Operate with an excellent customer-centric mindset for retail broker partners and their clients.
  • Keen eyes on every detail to ensure Anzen operates with holistic excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of insurance brokerage experience.
  • Property and Casualty insurance license required.
  • Commercial insurance experience in Executive Risk and Professional Liability is preferred.
  • Have a bias for action, focus on the highest impact, and approach everything with a result/solution-oriented mindset.
  • Act with extreme ownership and the highest integrity in everything we do, big or small.
  • Adaptability to changes and excellent time management when pivoting in a fast-paced environment/startup landscape.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, including written and public speaking via phone and Zoom.
  • Capable of learning and adapting quickly using new and proprietary technology.
  • Ability to work well and build trust with stakeholders to achieve Anzen’s common goals and outcomes.

Why join Anzen:
• Come join us in reinventing the future of insurance.
• Work with advanced technologies in a rapidly growing industry.
• Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
• A collaborative and innovative company culture focused on excellence and integrity.
• Be part of a company that values proactive risk management and cutting-edge solutions.

Company culture:
Anzen believes the world of work is fundamentally different in the new post-Covid environment. We are committed to supporting a diverse and hard working team that puts in the necessary time but also desires balance between health, family, and work. We fully embrace remote work lifestyles while centering our weeks around Pacific Standard Time (PST) with a general orientation to San Francisco as the geographic HQ.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene
