Our mission at Asimov is to advance humanity's ability to design living systems, enabling biotechnologies with outsized benefit to society. We're developing a mammalian synthetic biology platform––from cells to software––to enable the design and manufacture of next-generation therapeutics.

As an Account Manager at Asimov, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating strong client relationships, ensuring seamless project execution, and driving customer success and retention. This position provides an opportunity to grow within the Account Management function, with the potential to take on leadership responsibilities over time. You will act as a trusted partner to our clients and collaborate with internal teams to deliver world-class solutions in the synthetic biology and biotech industries.

About the Role:

  • Client relationship management: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building trust and fostering long-term partnerships. Drive customer retention and satisfaction to secure long-term partnerships and multi-year engagements.
  • Project coordination: Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure the successful delivery of projects, meeting or exceeding client expectations.  Act as the client advocate within Asimov, ensuring alignment on project deliverables, timelines, and milestones and coordination of contracting/legal workflows to address client needs effectively.
  • Industry advocacy and strategic alignment:  Act as the customer advocate and the eyes of Asimov for gaining industry-specific understanding with a commercial perspective in mind. Provide insights into client & market trends to inform strategic planning and commercial initiatives.
  • Facilitation of Third-Party Engagements:  Serve as a facilitator for engagements between Asimov and third-party value chain partners (CDMO, CRO, etc), ensuring alignment with customer preferences. Coordinate interactions with existing value chain partners and help coordinate the establishment of new partnerships based on client requirements.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to maximize customer lifetime value.  Partner with the Business Development team to structure deals that align with client needs and organizational goals.
  • Strategic Contributions:  Regularly report on account performance, including metrics on revenue contribution, client satisfaction, and project delivery.  Provide valuable insights to influence product development, operational efficiencies, and strategic planning.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.5+ years of experience in account management, client success, or customer-facing roles within biotech, life sciences, or CDMO/CRO services.
  • Proven track record of managing complex client relationships and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Strong commercial and operational acumen with experience in technical project coordination.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess account performance and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Familiarity with synthetic biology, cell line development, or upstream process development is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and project management software is preferred.

We're fueled by a vision to transform biological engineering into a fully-fledged engineering discipline. Should you join our team, you will grow with a constantly evolving organization and push the frontiers of synthetic biology. Company culture is key to Asimov, and ours is a culture of recombination; we believe that our mission can only be achieved by bringing together a diverse team with a mixture of backgrounds and perspectives.
