About the team and the role: The Account Manager - Focus Category SMB is a pivotal role responsible for driving sustainable GMV growth across a defined book of SMB and high value sellers. SMB Account Managers operate as commercially driven consultants, combining data insight, product expertise, and structured business planning to unlock measurable GMV growth for sellers and revenue for the marketplace. ​​In this role, you’ll be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of B2C sellers, helping them achieve sustainable growth on our platform. Your mission will be to build strong relationships, provide strategic business support, and drive overall account success.

This is a consultative, client-facing role that combines relationship management, business analysis, and strategic planning. You’ll work closely with your assigned sellers over a 12-month engagement, deeply understanding their business goals and helping them maximize their potential on eBay.

What you will accomplish:

  • Own the commercial performance and GMV growth across an assigned book of business, acting as a trusted advisor throughout a year-long engagement.

  • Ensure all listings are optimized for discoverability and conversion through strong titles, item specifics, pricing, imagery, and inventory depth.

  • Lead structured monthly business reviews with every seller, translating performance insights into clear growth strategies and execution plans.

  • Use data and performance insights to prioritize actions that deliver the highest commercial impact.

  • Communicate the progress of business initiatives to internal and external partners, and provide multi-level performance reporting.

  • Support sellers via email, phone, and virtual meetings, addressing questions and providing insights.

  • Collaborate with internal partners to onboard new clients, solve challenges, and deliver a seamless seller experience.

  • Stay up-to-date on eBay marketplace trends and advocate for your clients’ needs within the organization.

What you will bring (Competencies):

  • 2–3+ years of experience in account management, client services, customer success, or a similar role.

  • Demonstrated success delivering revenue growth in a commercially driven environment.

  • Confident presenter able to lead structured performance conversations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative and strategic mindset.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and projects in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for delivering measurable results. Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM systems and productivity tools (e.g., Salesforce, GSuite, etc.)

  • Experience in eCommerce, marketplace platforms, or B2C sales is a plus.

Educational Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$48,400 - $73,700

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
