Capitalize is seeking a candidate who has operated in consultative, services-based environments rather than transactional product sales to join our sales team in the west!

We are hiring an Account Growth Executive to drive expansion within existing clients and convert partner-sourced opportunities into structured, multi-phase engagements.

This is a hybrid role across account management, consultative selling, and deal shaping.

You will not be responsible for delivery—but you are expected to work closely with our delivery team to position, scope, and close the right work.

We operate under the “work from home” concept which allows us to have a fluid, non-traditional and relaxed culture while still having avenues in place to collaborate as a team.

By joining our team, you will shape opportunities, drive deals forward & collaborate with delivery teams.

Responsibilities:

·         Own a portfolio of existing clients and drive expansion into larger engagements

·         Convert partner introductions into clearly defined, winnable opportunities

·         Lead client conversations to uncover business challenges and priorities

·         Translate initial requests into structured scopes of work (with internal team support)

·         Bring in the right technical and delivery stakeholders at the right time

·         Drive alignment across client stakeholders (finance, operations, technology)

·         Position and close ongoing services as part of broader engagements

·         Generate selective pipeline through partner relationships and targeted outreach

·         Readiness and ability to travel

Qualifications:

·         Experience selling undefined or evolving scope work in consulting or services firms

·         Demonstrated ability to expand accounts beyond initial engagements

·         Experience working with partner-driven opportunities

·         Ability to lead conversations with senior stakeholders

·         Experience collaborating with technical or delivery teams during the sales process

  • Must reside in territory of CO, NV, UT or the Pacific NW

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
