About the role

We’re looking for energetic, hungry, and adaptable Account Executives who are excited to join a fast-moving startup on a mission to change the financial back office forever.

You’ll be responsible for managing inbound leads, prospecting, running product demos, and driving revenue growth by helping SMB owners understand how Uplinq can save them time and money.

We’re hiring across three experience levels — whether you’re an up-and-coming AE ready to prove yourself, a seasoned closer, or an enterprise-minded seller who thrives on building scalable processes.

What you'll do

  • Own the full sales cycle — from discovery to close
  • Manage a steady flow of inbound leads, and make even more money with accelerators for building and closing your own pipeline.
  • Deliver impactful demos that highlight Uplinq’s value
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, customer success, and product teams to ensure an exceptional customer journey
  • Hit and exceed monthly/quarterly targets
  • Help shape our sales culture and playbook as we scale

Qualifications

  • 1–7+ years of AE experience in SaaS or tech sales (depending on level)
  • Experience selling to SMBs is a big plus
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — scrappy, resourceful, and adaptable

Why Join Us

  • Competitive pay + health, dental, vision, 401(k), and life insurance
  • Remote-first and flexible work culture
  • Clear path for career growth in a fast-growing firm
  • Modern tech stack and automation-first mindset
  • Backed by top investors and fresh off our Series A

Salary: $75,000 base + commission

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
