Company Overview

Realm is an AI-driven platform that helps industrial operations prevent failures before they happen, maximizing uptime and saving millions in lost revenue. Realm integrates with existing cameras, sensors, and control systems to detect and predict equipment failures, flag unsafe behavior, automate responses, and notify key personnel. Our customers include gold, gemstones, coal, and oil & gas operations across the United States, Africa, and Latin America.

The Role

As a member of the GTM team, you will play a critical role in driving the company’s growth and adoption. This is a dynamic, hybrid role that blends sales, customer success, and operational deployment. You will engage directly with customers, pitch our platform, shape the product’s evolution, and ensure successful deployments.

We’re looking for someone who is adaptable, high-energy, and thrives in ambiguity—equally comfortable making cold calls, closing deals, and embedding with customers to operationalize our technology in real-world environments. If you enjoy working at the intersection of software, AI, industrial engineering, and global-scale operations, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the full-cycle sales process: identify, engage, and close new opportunities across industrial verticals (mining, energy, infrastructure, etc.).

  • Conduct sales pitches, attend conferences, and build strong relationships with key decision-makers.

  • Travel globally (25-50% of the time), including to remote locations, to support sales and deployments.

  • Work closely with customers to deeply understand their needs, refine use-cases, and ensure seamless adoption of Realm’s platform.

  • Act as a bridge between customers and the engineering team — spotting product gaps, suggesting improvements, and ensuring Realm remains best-in-class.

  • Define repeatable sales and deployment playbooks, metrics, and automation strategies to drive scalability.

  • Maintain high availability; responding to critical opportunities and customer needs flexibly across time zones.

  • Operate with low-ego and cultural adaptability to succeed in complex, high-stakes environments.

What We’re Looking ForMust-Have Qualifications
  • Early-stage enterprise sales experience strongly preferred.

  • Ability to seamlessly transition between sales (outbound, pitching, networking) and deployment (customer success, implementation).

  • Strong communication & charisma; eloquent, persuasive, and confident in both formal and informal settings.

  • Product and technology aptitude; must care about the product, provide useful feedback, and have an eye for detail.

  • Highly self-sufficient; able to thrive with minimal onboarding and structure.

  • Process-driven mindset; belief in repeatable playbooks, automation, and quantitative approaches to BD.

  • Willingness to travel globally, including to remote regions (25-50% of the time).

  • Personality fit: open to feedback, trustworthy, adaptable, and culturally aligned with Realm’s team.

  • Strong writing and documentation skills.

  • High availability; flexible hours, willing to respond outside of standard workdays.

  • Long-term mindset and desire to play a key role in building Realm into a great company.

  • Based in or willing to relocate to a city with high global travel connectivity (Miami, NYC, Chicago, LA, SF, Dallas, etc.)

  • US Citizen or permanent resident.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Network and experience selling in mining, oil, or agriculture industries.

  • An existing Rolodex; a network of contacts and the ability to generate leads.

  • Experience selling physical security technology.

  • Experience at a high-caliber software company or as an early startup employee.

  • Coding / hacking ability

  • Strong design sense for sales collateral (decks, one-pagers, etc.).

Why Realm?
  • Work on a mission-critical problem at the intersection of AI, security, and industrial infrastructure.

  • Be part of a high-caliber, fast-moving team where you’ll have a direct impact on strategy and execution.

  • Competitive compensation with significant upside potential in equity.

  • Opportunity for global travel and fieldwork in dynamic, high-stakes environments.

If you’re excited by the challenge of building a new category-defining company in industrial reliability, apply now.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
