The Role

We’re looking for a driven Account Executive to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving revenue by owning the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting to close. You'll focus on bringing new customers to Matia and helping us scale our sales efforts. You'll collaborate closely with the founders and leadership to scale our customer acquisition strategies.

What You'll Do
  • Generate Pipeline: Proactively identify, target, and engage potential customers in the data and engineering space through strategic outbound prospecting.

  • Own the Sales Process: Lead full-cycle sales efforts, including conducting discovery calls, delivering compelling product demonstrations, managing objections, negotiating terms, and closing deals.

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by effectively navigating complex sales cycles.

  • Market Insight: Collect and relay relevant customer feedback to the product team to inform continuous platform improvements.

  • Evangelize the Platform: Act as a trusted advisor to prospects, clearly articulating the value of Matia's platform and demonstrating how it solves their critical data challenges.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a results-oriented, hands-on seller with a proven track record of generating pipeline and closing deals, especially within the data ecosystem.

Must-Haves:

  • Experience: 4+ years of SaaS sales experience, with at least 2 years in an Account Executive role demonstrating consistent over-performance against targets.

  • Data Domain Expertise: At least 1+ years of direct sales experience within a data tools company (e.g., ETL, Reverse ETL, Data Observability, Data Catalog, BI), showcasing a strong understanding of the data ecosystem and customer pain points.

  • Outbound Expertise: Proven ability to independently generate pipeline by outbound prospecting to target accounts based on Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).

  • Startup Acumen: You thrive in early-stage startup environments (Seed – Series A), comfortable with ambiguity and change.

  • Ownership Mentality: Highly accountable and self-driven, requiring minimal supervision to hit and exceed sales targets.

  • Strong Communicator: Ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and value propositions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Collaborative: A team player who enjoys working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

What’s in it for you?
  • Impact: Directly contribute to Matia's growth by bringing innovative solutions to market and empowering data teams.

  • Growth: Direct access to leadership and opportunities to grow alongside the company; we promote from within.

  • Flexibility: Work remotely with a results-driven, adaptable team culture.
