About Letterhead

With Letterhead, your newsletters do all the work for you. We help publishers and marketers engage their audience, create great content products, and generate revenue, with software that can automate and support the entire process through machine learning.

We're a venture-backed scale-up on a journey to change how online engagement happens through meaningful, first-party content. Our founders came from the media industry, building a national network of local email newsletters, and spun out Letterhead in 2022 to help every organization master email.

Our Team

We're a diverse team of internally-motivated, open-minded people who want to be the best at what we do. We value intellectual curiosity, candor, and a sense of urgency. When we hire, we look for cultural contribution rather than culture fit: what will each new person add to our team as we grow?

This position is remote and this person can sit anywhere in the US. We are a global team and prioritize great people over location.

Our Company Values

  • Users first: we're here to help our customers, and we put their experience and priorities first.
  • Great and fast: we deliver top-quality work and experiences at high speed, every time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting and lead generation.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Negotiate and close deals to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.

  • Monitor market trends to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in full-cycle closing role, with demonstrable prospecting success.
  • Experience co-selling alongside compatible technology partners and system integrator.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
  • High level of motivation and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in CRM software and sales tools.
  • Familiarity with subscription-based business models is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends.

What we offer you:

  • Remote-first and always workplace.
  • 4 weeks paid time off.
  • Best-in-class benefits package; most plans fully employer-sponsored for you and your family.
  • 401k plan
  • Stock option package commensurate with experience.
  • The chance to make an impact at a fast-growing and successful scaleup company.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
