Remote (US) · Full-time · Software / PropTech

Hi, we’re Aptly

Property management is a massive industry still running on fragmented software, overflowing inboxes, spreadsheets, and a lot of manual work.

We built Aptly to change that.

Aptly is an AI-powered work OS for property management. We sit on top of the systems operators already use and bring their work together in one place—conversations, tasks, leasing, maintenance, owners, residents, vendors, and increasingly, the AI agents helping their teams get work done.

We’re growing quickly because the problems we solve are real, expensive, and easy for customers to recognize. When Aptly works, teams respond faster, convert more leads, automate repetitive work, and deliver a better experience without simply adding more people.

We’re a small, ambitious remote team that ships fast, talks to customers constantly, and cares a lot more about good ideas and results than titles or hierarchy.

Now we’re looking for an Account Executive who can help us bring Aptly to a lot more property management companies.

The opportunity

This is a full-cycle sales role with meaningful ownership.

Most prospects don’t come to Aptly looking for another piece of software. They come to us because something in their operation isn’t working: leads aren’t getting followed up with, leasing is too slow, maintenance is chaotic, owners are frustrated, teams are buried in email, or they know AI should be helping them but haven’t figured out how.

Your job is to understand what’s actually happening inside their business, identify where Aptly can create leverage, build the business case, and get the deal done.

That requires curiosity, credibility, and the ability to connect technology to real operating outcomes.

We’re not looking for someone who wants to run a script and hit a dial count. We want someone who can walk into a conversation with a property management operator, understand their business, challenge how they think about a problem, and show them a better way to run it.

What you’ll do
  • Own deals end to end—from discovery and demo through negotiation and signature.

  • Run demos around the prospect’s actual operation and pain points, rather than giving generic feature tours.

  • Build and manage your own pipeline alongside the opportunities generated by our inbound and marketing efforts.

  • Prospect intelligently through outbound, referrals, industry relationships, events, and communities like NARPM, NMHC, NAA and others.

  • Develop a strong understanding of property management economics, workflows, technology, and the competitive landscape.

  • Sell outcomes, not software—connecting Aptly to things customers care about like conversion, response time, labor efficiency, resident experience, owner retention, and NOI.

  • Build relationships with everyone from frontline operators to company owners and executives.

  • Keep your pipeline disciplined and your forecast accurate.

  • Work closely with the founders, product, marketing, and customer teams to improve how we sell and position Aptly.

  • Bring what you learn in the field back into the company. Sales is one of our most important sources of product and market intelligence, and we expect you to have a voice.

What we’re looking for
  • A strong track record selling B2B SaaS, ideally in a role where you personally owned a revenue target.

  • You know how to run discovery. You ask good questions, listen carefully, and can get beyond the first answer to understand the real problem.

  • You can take a complicated product and make it feel simple.

  • You’re comfortable selling both operational value and financial ROI.

  • You communicate exceptionally well—on a call, in a demo, and in an email someone actually wants to respond to.

  • You know how to create pipeline rather than waiting for opportunities to appear.

  • You’re competitive and accountable without needing someone constantly looking over your shoulder.

  • You’re comfortable being early. We have a sales process, but we’re still improving it—and we want you to help.

  • You’re genuinely curious about how businesses operate and how technology can make them better.

  • You want to sell something differentiated in a market undergoing a major technology shift.

Extra points if you
  • Have worked in or sold into property management, particularly single-family or multifamily.

  • Have sold PropTech, CRM, communications, workflow, automation, or AI software.

  • Already have relationships within the property management or NARPM community.

  • Have experience selling to owners, operators, or executives of SMB and mid-market businesses.

  • Have been successful in an earlier-stage company where you had to figure some things out yourself.

Property management experience is valuable, but it isn’t a requirement. We’d rather hire an exceptional salesperson who is obsessed with learning the industry than an industry veteran who isn’t exceptional at selling.

Why Aptly

A product with a real story.
AI is changing how property management companies operate, and Aptly is being built around that shift—not bolted onto a legacy platform.

A huge market.
Millions of rental homes and apartments are managed by teams still stitching together email, spreadsheets, point solutions, and legacy property management systems.

A seat at the table.
You won’t be salesperson #150 executing someone else’s playbook. You’ll work directly with the founders and help shape how Aptly goes to market.

Real ownership.
We care about outcomes. You’ll have significant freedom over your territory, pipeline, relationships, and how you build your business.

Room to grow.
We’re building the sales organization alongside the company. People who perform here will have the opportunity to take on substantially more responsibility as we scale.

The package
  • Competitive base salary

  • Uncapped commission

  • Comprehensive health insurance

  • Open PTO and flexible holidays that we actually expect people to use

  • Remote-first work

  • Meaningful ownership of your territory and how you build it

  • Direct access to the founders and leadership team

  • Significant opportunity for growth as Aptly scales

If you’re looking for a highly structured sales job where the playbook is finished and every day looks the same, Aptly probably isn’t the right place.

If you want to help define the playbook, sell a product that can fundamentally change how an industry operates, and have your work visibly impact the trajectory of the company, we’d love to talk.
