About Port:

At Port.io, we are building an open and flexible Agentic Engineering Platform for modern engineering organizations. Following our recent $100M Series C funding round, we are in a phase of rapid hypergrowth with strong enterprise momentum.

We act as the central nervous system for engineering, enabling platform teams to unify their stack and expose it as a governed layer through golden paths for developers and AI agents. By combining rich engineering context, workflows, and actions, we help organizations transition from manual processes to autonomous, AI-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining control and accountability. As a product-led company, we believe in building world-class platforms that fundamentally shape how modern engineering organizations operate.

About your day-to-day:

As Port continues to grow at speed, we’re looking for an Account Executive within our mid-market segment. In this role, you’ll drive the full sales cycle from building and managing your own pipeline to partnering with Sales Engineers to close complex deals ranging from five to seven figures.

You’re someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings both strategic and tactical strength to every deal. You know how to engage deeply with engineering and platform leaders (our core buyers) and can translate technical conversations into clear business value. You’re confident leading pivotal opportunities, managing a diverse book of business, and helping shape the foundation for the growing sales organization. Above all, you bring refined sales acumen, discipline in execution, and the drive to close meaningful deals efficiently and effectively.

As part of your responsibilities:

  • As an Account Executive at Port, you will play a key role in sourcing, developing, and converting new opportunities into meaningful revenue. You will focus on building strong relationships with buyers, gaining a deep understanding of their priorities so that you can guide them through a smooth and efficient evaluation process.
  • You will lead the deal from the first conversation through negotiation and procurement, ensuring every step is handled with confidence and clarity. Maintaining accurate sales data will be part of your rhythm, including timely CRM updates that reflect customer insights, pipeline status, and forecast expectations.
  • With a strategic approach to territory and opportunity planning, you will drive results that support monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
  • You will regularly engage technical stakeholders within development and platform teams in order to identify where Port can deliver the most value.
  • Collaboration will be central to your success, working with Sales Engineers and executives to strengthen relationships across key accounts. You will also partner with Engineering to surface opportunities for new capabilities that elevate the impact Port delivers to customers.
  • A strong record of achieving or surpassing sales targets, ideally with ownership of at least 1M ARR annually
  • Consistent pipeline generation and disciplined, metrics-driven execution
  • 5+ years of closing experience in developer tooling, cloud infrastructure, databases, or business intelligence markets
  • A consultative, solution-based approach to selling and comfort navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present persuasively, listen actively, and maintain strong CRM hygiene
  • Curiosity for understanding technical environments and confident in partnering with developers, platform teams, and technology executives
