About AACI Group

AACI Group, Inc. is dedicated to making insurance more accessible and affordable in catastrophe-prone regions. Climate change is increasing the frequency and severity of wildfires and other natural disasters, while carriers are retreating from high-risk markets. Homeowners are being left with fewer and more expensive options. We are addressing this challenge by building AI-native insurance agencies and digital services that combine risk data, loss prevention, and innovative product delivery.

About Five Bays Insurance Agency

Five Bays Insurance Agency is an independent personal lines insurance agency helping homeowners and property owners secure coverage in hard-to-insure, catastrophe-prone markets, with an initial focus on California. We specialize in navigating constrained underwriting environments and helping clients maintain meaningful, sustainable coverage.

Role Overview

Five Bays sells in squads: an AE Lead, an AE Follow and a Support Associate, backed by automated quoting, a residual quoting team for manual and wholesale risks, and a centralized servicing team that owns everything after bind. As an AE Follow, you are a licensed producer working alongside your squad's AE Lead. You take licensed follow-ups and closes off the Lead's plate, own simpler deals from quote to bind, and step in when the Lead is out so clients always reach a licensed advisor. It's a hands-on role for a producer who wants to sell, learn fast and grow into leading a squad.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own assigned deals end to end, especially straightforward homeowners and dwelling placements, from quote review through bind

  • Walk clients through their quote results in our online quote experience, by email or by phone, and answer coverage and premium questions

  • Make licensed callbacks, explain revised options and handle standard objections within the plan your AE Lead sets

  • Close and bind business with carriers, MGAs and wholesalers when designated, including required pre-bind acknowledgements

  • Cover for your AE Lead so clients always reach a licensed advisor, and bring material coverage or eligibility changes back to the Lead

  • Work with your squad's Support Associate on prep, scheduling and document collection, and keep every deal in our CRM current with a next action and due date

  • Hand bound policies to our centralized servicing team with complete records, so post-bind work stays off the sales desk

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of P&C insurance sales or service experience; personal lines preferred

  • Active Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain within 60 days), plus a California non-resident license or the ability to obtain one

  • Working knowledge of homeowners insurance, and interest in catastrophe-exposed markets like California

  • Clear, confident communicator by phone and email who can explain coverage in plain language

  • Organized and responsive, and comfortable managing many open deals at once in a CRM

  • Desire to embrace and incorporate advanced AI tooling into sales workflows

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary of $55,000 to $65,000, plus squad-based variable compensation tied to new business premium

  • Health benefits and paid time off

  • Growth opportunities within Five Bays and AACI Group, including a path to AE Lead

Location & Reporting
  • Based in Boston, MA, in our office 2-3 days a week

  • Reports to the VP of Operations, working day to day with your squad's AE Lead

Why Join Us

This is an opportunity to join an early-stage, AI-native insurance agency at the forefront of climate and housing challenges. As an AE Follow, you will learn from experienced producers, close real business from day one, and build toward leading a squad of your own.
