Job Description:

Epic Account Executive

3M Health Care is now Solventum.

At Solventum, we enable better, smarter, safer healthcare to improve lives. As a new company with a long legacy of creating breakthrough solutions for our customers' toughest challenges, we pioneer game-changing innovations at the intersection of health, material and data science that change patients' lives for the better while enabling healthcare professionals to perform at their best. Because people, and their wellbeing, are at the heart of every scientific advancement we pursue.

We partner closely with the brightest minds in healthcare to ensure that every solution we create melds the latest technology with compassion and empathy. Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.

The Impact You Will Make in this Role

As the Strategic Account Executive - Epic, you will be responsible for growing Solventum's strategic relationship with Epic Systems Corporation.  You will serve as Solventum's point of accountability for the Epic partnership—managing executive relationships, business agreements, governance, and the joint roadmap between the two companies. You will deliver measurable partnership outcomes, clarify decision rights and escalation paths, and align cross-functional teams around shared priorities. This role does not manage hospital or health system client accounts; instead, you will bring first-hand hospital workflow and Epic EHR experience to ensure Solventum Health Information Systems solutions work seamlessly within Epic, augment and deliver value to shared customers. Here, you will make an impact by:

Strategic Partnership Ownership:

·       Serve as Solventum's primary business relationship owner for Epic, responsible for leading and executing the day-to-day strategic partner business relationship in conjunction with product and technical teams.

·       Develop and execute strategic Epic partnership strategy and plan with clear goals, KPIs and accountability, aligned to Solventum HIS business priorities.

·       Lead regular Epic partnership business reviews and present partnership health, risks and opportunities to Solventum senior leadership.

·       Publish an internal leadership update at least quarterly, to keep stakeholders informed of critical Epic projects and activity

Agreements & Program Management:

·       Partner with Legal, Contracts and Finance to maintain, negotiate, and ensure compliance with all agreements between Solventum and Epic.

Product Integration & Strategy:

·       Establish a cross-functional operating cadence that connects partnership strategy to commercial outcomes, including a consolidated view of joint opportunities, investments, dependencies, risks, benefits realization, and decisions required from leadership.

·       Partner with Marketing on approved messaging and positioning related to Solventum's work with Epic.

·       Maintain a partnership risk and dependency register covering commercial, contractual, operational, technical, cybersecurity, privacy, and reputational considerations; assign owners and mitigation plans and elevate material risks through the appropriate governance forums.

Issue Resolution & Escalation:

·       Manage escalation of partnership-level issues with Epic, such as integration barriers, technical dependencies, access, and program questions that affect shared customers.

·       Coordinate with Solventum Client Advocacy, Support and Sales teams, who own hospital customer relationships, to resolve Epic-related issues that span multiple customers.

Growth & Market Insight:

·       Identify joint opportunities with Epic that expand Solventum's reach and value across the Epic customer base and build business cases for new integration or partnership investments.

·       Represent Solventum at Epic events (e.g., UGM, XGM and partner forums) and gather market, competitive and customer insights to inform Solventum's go-to-market and product strategy.

·       Collate noteworthy Epic related news and share with key stakeholders on a regular interval

·       Defend Solventum products and offerings against Epic offerings and solutions

Internal Leadership & Compliance:

·       Educate and enable Solventum sales, client advocacy and product teams on the Epic relationship, program rules and integration capabilities.

·       Participate in relevant corporate programs, comply with professional and quality standards and corporate policies and procedures, and act consistently with Solventum's values and ethical standards.

·       Design and maintain the Epic partnership governance model, including stakeholder forums, executive sponsorship, decision rights, issue ownership, escalation paths, and documented follow-through across Solventum functions.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

·       Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in healthcare

·       Hospital or health system work experience, with demonstrated knowledge of hospital workflows (e.g., clinical documentation, CDI, HIM/coding, patient access or revenue cycle)

·       Excellent communication, presentation and cross-functional collaboration skills across Product, Development, Sales, Client Advocacy, Legal and Finance

·       Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on Epic EHR experience (e.g., as an Epic analyst, application lead, consultant)

·       Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing strategic partnerships, alliances, vendor relationships or key accounts

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

·       Ten (10) or more years of healthcare experience

·       Epic certification or accreditation (e.g., Resolute HB/PB, HIM, Clinical Documentation, ClinDoc, or Bridges/Interfaces)

·       Prior experience working for Epic or with Epic's partner or vendor programs (e.g., Showroom / Connection Hub, Toolbox)

·       Experience in a healthcare technology vendor, partnering on product integration with EHR platforms

·       Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7) and EHR integration approaches

·       Strong organizational skills and managing and maintaining internal references of key resources

·       Experience negotiating and managing complex business agreements

·       Strong executive presence, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence without direct authority across two organizations

Travel: May be required up to 25% domestic, including travel to Epic headquarters (Verona, WI) and Epic events

Relocation Assistance: Is not authorized.

Location: Remote
