Overview

BlueConic is looking for a Customer Account Executive to own and accelerate growth within our existing customer base. In this role the CAE would be focused on expanding our footprint across geographies, business units, and brands – driving true enterprise-scale success with our customers.

This role is critical for the success of our customer growth engine and requires a passionate, data-driven, and entrepreneurial seller who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all expansion sales across a designated list of accounts.
  • Partner with Customer Success and Solution Consulting teams to identify, shape, and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Hit targets for expansion pipeline and revenue.
  • Ensure expansion plays are backed by compelling use cases, ROI, and customer value stories.
  • Orchestrate and drive deep strategic engagement with customers to uncover new contacts, brands, divisions, and revenue opportunities.
  • Forecast accurately, report consistently, and be accountable to targets.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of successful B2B sales experience with at least 2+ years in customer expansion
  • Strong track record of driving growth in existing accounts – ideally in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Operationally consistent – lives by the numbers, delivers on the numbers.
  • Entrepreneurial background or mindset; thrives in building customer relationships and growth.
  • Customer-first orientation – sees expansion as a reflection of value delivered.
  • Excellent communicator and cross-functional partner.

Measures of Success:

  • Expansion Revenue Growth: Achieve or exceed quarterly expansion revenue goals across the customer base.
  • Account Penetration: Increase average contract value and footprint per customer by growing into additional business units, geographies, or product lines.
  • Pipeline Contribution: Generate and maintain a robust expansion pipeline with >80% coverage against goals.
  • Forecast Accuracy: Deliver accurate forecasts within a 5–10% variance range.

Customer Growth Stories: Identify and deliver 5+ referenceable case studies or success stories per year that show measurable business impact from expansion efforts.
