The CIS Services Senior Account Executive is part of the Sales and Business Services department, which resides on the Sales team and reports to the Director of CIS Services. As our CIS Services Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for executing the sales function and responsible for achieving specific sales quotas driving revenue, customer acquisition, and retention goals. This role is responsible for developing, driving, and supporting the sales process. The CIS sales programs target U.S State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) government organizations through our CIS Cybersecurity Services Program and national and international commercial entities, and governments for CIS SecureSuite membership and Cloud security offerings. This is a highly visible position that will work closely with the CIS Sales leadership, Marketing, Product, and Legal teams on developing pipeline and closing deals to meet organization objectives. The Senior Account Executive is expected to uphold the mission and values established by the organization.
This position is open to remote employees and may involve a high degree of travel.

What You'll Do: 

  • Identify and establish contact with prospective customers to build strong sales pipeline

  • Establish relationships and deliver effective presentations to key decision makers to help secure new business opportunities

  • Attend industry conferences for sales prospecting, networking, education, and speaking opportunities

  • Partner with colleagues in Marketing and Communications, Product Management, Customer Experience, Operations, and other key functions to drive results from pre-funnel through customer expansion and retention

  • Build and nurture a sales pipeline to support CIS Services targets while developing, managing, and closing strategic opportunities

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop marketing campaigns and messaging for new products, services, and programs

  • Stay informed on competing technologies, current and perceived market conditions, and customer feedback to inform key internal stakeholders

  • Maintain a high level of prospects via marketing generated leads and outbound prospecting to build and manage a robust pipeline using the customer relationship management (CRM) system (Salesforce)

  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field*

  • 10+ years of prior sales experience

  • Prior experience selling to U.S State, Local, Tribal & Territorial (SLTT) entities

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity

  • Proven ability in building and maintaining successful relationships with prospective and existing customers and channel partners 

  • Strong marketing, business development, and negotiating skills

  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate advanced technical concepts

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor with highly persuasive selling skills

  • CRM experience, especially Salesforce

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

 

It's a Plus if You Have: 

  • Technical selling experience for complex solutions in IT or commercial software

  • Experience working in a non-profit environment

 

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.

Compensation Range:

$93,300.00 - $163,200.00
