ABOUT FLOVISION SOLUTIONS
FloVision Solutions is a remote-first startup focused on improving the food supply chain, starting with protein processing. We design computer vision and machine learning-assisted production processes to reduce food waste, improve QA, and enhance staff skills, using proprietary hardware and software to solve customer problems.

FloVision Solutions is a U.S.-based Series A startup with a remotely distributed team across the USA, UK, and Ireland.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This role is critical to driving FloVision’s next stage of growth by owning the full sales funnel - from top-of-funnel pipeline development through long-term customer relationship management. You will lead the process end-to-end - from initial outreach and relationship building through deal closure and ongoing account expansion - ensuring continuity and trust with every customer you bring on.

As an Account Director at FloVision Solutions, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, closing deals, and managing post-sale relationships to drive customer success and expansion. You will support our team in scaling revenue, strengthening customer partnerships, and building a repeatable, relationship-driven sales motion.

We are looking for a confident and highly personable individual who thrives in customer-facing environments and wants to help us achieve our mission of reducing 1% of CO2 emissions through a reduction in food waste. As one of FloVision’s early go-to-market hires, you will help shape our sales approach, customer experience, and long-term growth strategy.

LOCATION & TRAVEL
This is a full-time, remote position with a US time zone focus. Some flexibility for Australia/New Zealand customer hours is expected. This role involves significant travel - approximately 25–40% - predominantly within the US, with some international travel expected. Travel is central to how we build and maintain customer relationships and includes:

- In-person customer visits and relationship-building touchpoints at customer sites
- Industry events and trade shows
- Team meetups and collaborative work sessions two to four times per year

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and execute top-of-funnel outreach, including identifying, qualifying, and engaging prospective customers
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract negotiation and deal closure
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact pre and post-sale
- Drive account growth through upselling, renewals, and expansion opportunities within existing customers
- Conduct in-person customer visits and site walkthroughs to strengthen relationships and better understand customer needs
- Collaborate closely with leadership, product, and design teams to align customer feedback with product development
- Maintain a strong understanding of customer operations, industry dynamics, and competitive landscape
- Represent FloVision with professionalism, authenticity, and credibility in all customer interactions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience in B2B sales, account management, or a combined AE/AD type role - ideally within a technical, industrial, or complex-solution context
- Startup experience or comfort working in ambiguous, evolving environments
- Familiarity with or genuine curiosity about the food manufacturing, meat processing, or protein production industry
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Exceptional interpersonal skills - you build trust naturally, listen actively, and communicate with clarity
- The confidence to lead a room and the self-awareness to know when to step back and ask questions
- Coachable and genuinely open to feedback - you see every customer conversation as a chance to improve
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating closely with a small, cross-functional team
- Comfort with travel and frequent in-person customer engagement

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the meat processing, food production, or broader industrial sector
- Familiarity with complex B2B sales cycles and relationship-driven selling environments
- Existing industry relationships or network within protein processing or related industries
- Experience managing both pre-sales and post-sales customer relationships

INTERVIEW PROCESS OVERVIEW
Throughout the process, you'll have multiple opportunities to showcase your skills and experience, and we will aim to keep communication transparent and timely as we move through each step.

Stage 1: Application & Intro Video - As part of your application, please submit a short 1–2 minute video introducing yourself and sharing why you’re excited about this role at FloVision Solutions. This helps us get to know you beyond your resume and understand what draws you to our mission. Your video doesn’t need to be polished - a simple phone recording is perfect. Applications without a video will not be considered.
Stage 2: Behavioral Interview (via Google Meets)
Stage 3: Technical Interview (via Google Meets)
Stage 4: Final Interview (via Google Meets)
Stage 5: Job Offer - Upon successful completion of all interview stages, selected candidates will receive a formal job offer.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
