Account Director (Agency Partnerships) – Townsquare Ignite
*This is a fully remote position that requires you to work closely and collaboratively with internal teams. The ideal candidate would be located in either CST or EST.*

About the Role:
We’re looking for a driven Account Director (Agency Partnerships) to expand Townsquare Ignite’s agency footprint and drive new revenue growth across the country. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Agency and Political Partnerships, you will play a key role in growing and managing a personal book of agency business — prospecting, pitching, and closing deals with advertising agencies of all sizes.
This is a hunter role for a strategic self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll bring a strong understanding of the agency landscape, a proven track record in digital media sales, and the entrepreneurial mindset needed to build long-term, high-value partnerships.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify, pitch, and close digital advertising deals with media buyers across independent agencies, regional shops, and holding company accounts.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers, acting as a strategic advisor who understands each agency’s unique goals.
- Own the full sales cycle — from prospecting to close — using a consultative, solutions-oriented approach.
- Represent Townsquare Ignite in virtual and in-person meetings, delivering compelling presentations and showcasing our full suite of solutions.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and provide actionable insights and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver exceptional service and ensure campaign success.
- Analyze campaign performance data and proactively identify upsell and renewal opportunities.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Participate in regular virtual team meetings with the camera on to foster stronger collaboration and engagement, ensuring active communication and connection with colleagues across departments
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven success meeting or exceeding sales quotas in digital advertising, ideally with agency experience.
- 5+ years of digital media sales experience with a focus on new business development.
- Deep understanding of the media planning and buying process within the agency ecosystem.
- Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work independently and strategically prioritize opportunities.
- Experience using CRM tools to manage pipelines, forecast accurately, and drive results.
- Proficiency in developing persuasive pitch decks and supporting materials to win new business.
- Willingness and ability to travel for client meetings as needed.
