Job Description

Processes day-to-day requests from practice administration for managing provider schedules in Epic Cadence. Updates Provider Pattern Library and Pattern Release Calendar and maintains communication with schedule build/change requestors. Registers/schedules patients as needed.

Experience

  • 2 years of experience in physician scheduling

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 2 years of college coursework
  • 4 years of experience in multispecialty scheduling

Certification Summary

  • No professional certifications required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel

Job Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains provider schedules accurately in Epic Cadence.
  • Reviews schedule requests received and evaluates impact to provider capacity and clinic throughput per predefined guidelines.
  • Assists in problem-solving situations by offering suggestions and solutions for improvement processes.
  • Enters appointments in scheduling system per protocol.
  • Maintains Provider Pattern Library and Pattern Release Calendar when appropriate.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally to practice leadership and Contact Center staff related to provider capacity management.
