About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join our Commercial Capital business.

The Regional Sales Manager reports to Wells Fargo Commercial Capital’s Middle Market Origination Leader. Commercial Capital is developing and executing a new sales model which will simplify how we provide asset-based lending and equipment finance solutions to middle market companies. This manager will lead a team of 6-8 originators in the Northeast Region responsible for providing solutions to middle market companies by originating asset-based loans by working in partnership with Middle Market Banking, through direct prospect origination and utilizing regional referral sources. This position will work closely with sales managers for equipment finance, factoring and other secured lending products for a coordinated market approach. Location can be any major Well Fargo location in the Northeast Region.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop two or more specialized teams of managers and professional individual contributors with focus on delivering moderate to high complexity and risk product or service for cross-functional stakeholders or internal partners associated with the function or affected by its outcome
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development
  • Develop product education and sales management strategies to continually develop teams to anticipate and understand clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions
  • Lead team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables; interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for functions with moderate to higher complexity and risk
  • Organize sales activities for multiple products or specialties and develop marketing strategies in partnership with coverage team leadership, ensuring proactive selling and presentation of tailored financial solutions to clients and profitable growth of the specialty products
  • Provide subject matter expertise to peers and leaders, as well as work on complex, strategic, and multi-product specialty transactions, including by providing oversight of opportunity analysis, structuring, and internal coordination of financing requests
  • Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including senior leadership
  • Partner with product management functional partners to provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise on evolving market needs that enable large-scale companywide strategies that significantly influence the organization's business and financial operations
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure financial and business goals are met and align with strategic objectives for multiple products or specialties
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of secured or specialized lending sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior management experience
  • Strong leadership by effectively guiding, mentoring, and motivating a team to achieve sales goals.
  • Experience originating or Managing asset based lending transactions
  • A deep understanding of structuring sound ABL deals and managing risk
  • Sales and market planning expertise
  • Strong credit and deal structuring knowledge
  • Ability to work across a broad geography with remote team members

Job Expectations:

  • Up to 50% Travel
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship 
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule 
  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$173,300.00 - $359,900.00
