Position Overview
Rockpoint is searching for Rising Juniors to participate in the 2026 Summer Analyst program. Summer Analysts will complete a comprehensive, 6-week rotational internship program to shadow our Boston-based investment and property management professionals with a focus on acquisitions and asset management. Covered topics will include investor relations, investment sourcing, analysis, due diligence, documentation, and asset management initiatives for potential and existing real estate investments in connection with Rockpoint’s opportunistic and growth and income real estate investment programs.
In addition to participating in weekly training modules and completing self-directed study on real estate finance, the Summer Analyst will complete a comprehensive case study project during the internship, incorporating themes from all training modules. The project will involve drafting an investment committee memorandum for a potential real estate investment and delivering the presentation to members of Rockpoint’s Senior Leadership Team at the conclusion of the internship.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to produce high-quality market research and summarize comparable real estate transactions
- Participate in property management meetings and discussions
- Complete real estate financial modeling self-study and training modules
- Develop quantitative modeling skills through analysis of vintage Rockpoint investments
- Develop an understanding of the Firm's strategies and investment vehicles
- Complete additional ad-hoc projects as requested
- Draft an investment committee memorandum for potential investments as part of final case study
Qualifications
- Rising Junior (Class of 2028) with at least two years of undergraduate coursework prior to start of internship with strong academic achievement
- Interest in real estate, private equity, or investment banking
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with acute attention to detail
- Outstanding productivity and proven organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Ability to respond quickly and professionally in all situations
- Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative and ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated capacity to take ownership, be accountable and learn quickly
- Proven commitment to good citizenship, teamwork, and personal development
- Intelligence, integrity, drive, and flexibility
Compensation
This is a paid internship position based in Boston, Massachusetts with an hourly rate of $31.25.
