Description of Work

It's that time of year again and we're excited about the upcoming 2026 NC State Fair!
We are seeking seasonal staff for the annual NC State Fair that begins on Thursday, October 15 and ends on Sunday, October 25. If you enjoy people, working in a fast-paced environment, could use a little extra cash, and being part of a team is essential to a safe and fun event, we need you!
The Fair is held at 4285 Trinity Road, Raleigh, NC 27607.
We are hiring for the following positions:
Head Cashier, Exhibit Manager, Exhibit Worker, Competition Worker, Gateman, Information Booth Attendant, Public Announcer, Receptionist, Cash Room Worker, Ticket Seller and Ticket Taker.
**Background checks will be conducted for the following positions: Head Cashier, Cash Room Worker and Ticket Seller**

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Recruitment Range- $15.00-$22.00

  • Ability to lift and carry 10-20 pounds.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to follow policies and guidelines.
  • Ability to facilitate the flow of work and coordinate activities with other staff.
  • Ability to convey basic information.
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time in the weather.

Minimum Education and Experience
