The MII summer analyst will analyze and implement investment strategies that help achieve earnings, growth, and risk management objectives, as well as assist in building reports to support the investment process.
Program Description: MetLife's Investments Summer Analyst Program offers broad exposure to a global insurance company and investments manager. The program is a 10-week hybrid experience. Summer analysts will develop various technical and soft skills, have the opportunity to network with professionals across the company, and fully immerse themselves in MetLife's culture.
Global Credit and Equity (Whippany, NJ): The Global Credit and Equity (GCE) team within MII is responsible for developing investment strategies, overseeing the General Account (GA) portfolio from a fundamental credit and equity perspective, and ensuring portfolios are positioned and managed in the best interest of the GA. GCE also independently monitors and identifies areas of concern as well as opportunity and advises on macro allocation. GCE works with MetLife Investment Management (MIM) to help MetLife meet its insurance business objectives.
The Investments Intern will work alongside GCE's heads of corporate credit, real estate, and structured finance helping oversee various asset sectors including public and private credit, commercial mortgage loans, agricultural loans, real estate equity, structured finance, residential mortgage loans, and alternative investments. They will conduct and communicate analytical work that will support the identification of fundamental risks and opportunities in the GA portfolio and participate in discussions about portfolio positioning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2028. Candidates pursuing master's degrees or other advanced degrees are ineligible.
- Must possess a demonstrated interest in finance, economics, or a related field.
- A strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, and be able to adapt to new challenges.
