Department Overview: Insurance Asset Management; IAM (Whippany, NJ)
MetLife Investment Management (MIM) was launched in 2012 to capitalize on our strong investment management performance for our General Account. The Analyst will support the management of MetLife Holdings and Corporate & Other Segments. MetLife Holdings portfolios back run-off liabilities such as Life, Annuities, and Long-Term Care. The Corporate & Other segment contains mostly surplus, reinsurance, and hold-co portfolios. The Analyst will provide ad hoc analysis on various portfolios or other topics. Additionally, the Analyst will utilize tools such as BlackRock Aladdin, Excel, Bloomberg, and other tools to analyze portfolio issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Candidate must be currently enrolled in a higher education institution and actively pursuing an undergraduate degree with a strong academic record and a demonstrated interest in finance / economics . Candidates pursuing master's degrees or other advanced degrees are ineligible
• Candidate's anticipated graduation date must be between December 202 5 and June 202 6
• Candidate must have a strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, and be able to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment while handling multiple projects
• Candidate must be able to work independently and in a team environment, remaining detail-oriented and client-focused
• Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and feel comfortable interacting with management-level professionals
• Candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint , and CoPilot
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for immigration sponsorship, now or at any point in the future
The expected salary range for this position is 90-100k. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
