PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $18 - $25/hr hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

PLEASE NOTE: As a BECU Intern, you will not be eligible for any benefit plans or arrangements that are generally available to BECU employees, except for paid time off (PTO).  You will accrue 12 hours over the summer which you may use or be paid out at the end of your intern assignment if unused.

To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA. If you’re located within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our Headquarters on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of Tukwila Financial Center and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE

As a Product Management Intern at BECU, you will support the teams responsible for shaping and delivering product capabilities that enhance member experiences and drive business outcomes. Through hands-on collaboration, you will gain insight into how product strategies are developed, prioritized, and delivered. Your curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn will help the team coordinate product development activities, monitor product performance, and incorporate member insights into product decisions. This internship provides a unique opportunity to experience how innovative product thinking supports BECU’s mission to improve the financial well-being of our members and communities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Support Product Strategy and Roadmap Development: Assist in supporting the vision, strategy, and roadmap for one or more product or system capabilities.
  • Contribute to Product Decision Making: Support product-related decision making aligned with capability priorities and the organization’s broader business strategy.
  • Coordinate Product Development Activities: Assist in coordinating research, concept development, user experience design, and product delivery efforts that improve assigned capabilities.
  • Support Release Planning and Priorities: Help support release goals and priorities across one or more capabilities.
  • Monitor Product Performance Metrics: Assist in tracking product and capability performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness in achieving business outcomes.
  • Support Product Lifecycle Activities: Contribute to maintaining product information and documentation across the product lifecycle for assigned products.
  • Assist with Vendor Relationship Support: Help support vendor relationships related to assigned products and capabilities.
  • Build Industry and Capability Knowledge: Demonstrate a willingness to build knowledge of assigned capabilities and stay aware of relevant industry trends.
  • Incorporate the Voice of the Member: Support efforts to understand member feedback and bring those insights into product design and decision-making discussions.
  • Facilitate Team Information Sharing: Assist in coordinating information sharing among team members and maintaining written procedures for products.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a relevant field such Technology and Business or related discipline, or has graduated from one of these programs within the past twelve months.
  • Foundational knowledge or exposure to product management, business strategy, technology platforms, or the product development lifecycle. Interest in innovation or emerging technology areas such as data or AI-enabled products is a plus.
