Bain Capital Credit Overview

Bain Capital Credit is a leading global credit specialist with approximately $54 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2025. We invest across the full spectrum of credit strategies, including leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, direct lending, structured products, non-performing loans, and equities. Through our numerous funds, we have the ability to invest in every level of a company’s capital structure from secured debt to equity, and we can also provide capital to growing companies with unique financing needs.

Bain Capital Credit’s Private Credit Group evaluates investment opportunities across the spectrum in the middle market, or typically companies with $25-75M of EBITDA located in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.  With a dedicated global team of 25+ investment professionals, we are actively looking to lead or participate in senior, second lien and unitranche loans; subordinated debt; and preferred or common equity co-investments for traditional leveraged buyout transactions and non-sponsored financings.  We place considerable emphasis on investing in leading companies with talented management teams and aim to provide a tailored solution to every unique opportunity by having considerable flexibility when structuring terms.  We can hold up to $200 million in any middle market transaction and can grow with a borrower into a broadly syndicated structure through our liquid credit strategies.

Bain Capital Credit has a world-class team of over 100 investment professionals with extensive experience analyzing and managing high-yield investments.
