We are seeking full-time Analysts to join our Private Credit team in the summer of 2026. This role will be based in our Boston office.

The ideal candidates will have a strong academic record with prior internship experience in investing. Applicants should exhibit the following skills and/or experiences:

  • Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated track record of successful work experience

  • Self-driven and intellectually curious

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence effectively

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Throughout the analyst program you will:

  • Conduct deep, company-specific research, including attending management meetings, on-site diligence with customers and suppliers, and attend relevant industry conferences

  • Perform industry-level analyses to inform the investment process and provide critical context

  • Develop detailed financial models, including earnings projections and valuation analyses, to inform investment decisions

  • Generate thoughtful, proactive buy/sell recommendations and communicate investment theses clearly to the team

The Credit Analyst opportunity is available only to students who are currently in an undergraduate program.

Bain Capital Credit Overview

Bain Capital Credit is a leading global credit specialist with approximately $54 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2025. We invest across the full spectrum of credit strategies, including leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, direct lending, structured products, non-performing loans, and equities. Through our numerous funds, we have the ability to invest in every level of a company’s capital structure from secured debt to equity, and we can also provide capital to growing companies with unique financing needs.

Bain Capital Credit’s Private Credit Group evaluates investment opportunities across the spectrum in the middle market, or typically companies with $25-75M of EBITDA located in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.  With a dedicated global team of 25+ investment professionals, we are actively looking to lead or participate in senior, second lien and unitranche loans; subordinated debt; and preferred or common equity co-investments for traditional leveraged buyout transactions and non-sponsored financings.  We place considerable emphasis on investing in leading companies with talented management teams and aim to provide a tailored solution to every unique opportunity by having considerable flexibility when structuring terms.  We can hold up to $200 million in any middle market transaction and can grow with a borrower into a broadly syndicated structure through our liquid credit strategies.
