We need an English-fluent Mid Level Cloud / DevOps (SRE) Engineer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Responsibilities:


  • Design, build, and maintain reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application delivery.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

  • Manage and optimize containerized workloads using Docker.

  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.

  • Define and improve system health metrics, dashboards, and alerts.

  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and production issues.

  • Support incident response and root-cause analysis for reliability issues.

  • Implement security hardening and follow cloud infrastructure security best practices.

  • Integrate code quality and security checks into development and deployment workflows, including SonarQube.

  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks and improve engineering efficiency.

  • Collaborate with software engineers, Tech Leads, and Architects to improve application reliability and deployment processes.

  • Help establish and maintain best practices around infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and operational readiness.

  • Proactively identify risks and bottlenecks across the development and production environments.

Requirements:


  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineering, or a related role.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.

  • Strong experience with Docker and containerized applications.

  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

  • Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, logging, and system health metrics.

  • Familiarity with security hardening and cloud security best practices.

  • Experience with SonarQube or similar code quality/security tools.

  • Experience using AI tools.
  • Highly autonomous and self-sufficient in their processes
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with distributed engineering teams.

  • Strong English communication skills.

It's a plus:


  • Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.

  • Experience with Terraform.

  • Familiarity with AWS networking, IAM, and security services.

  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.

  • Experience with incident management and post-incident reviews.

  • Experience implementing SRE practices such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Previous experience supporting distributed or nearshore engineering teams.

Compensation:

  • The salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $3,200 - $4,800 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.

  • This is a 40 hours per week.

  • This position is for a full time contract, through a payroll platform.

  • The talent will work remotely allocated at our client.
