More Than Genetics

Every year, the SOPHiA GENETICS team gathers at their headquarters in Switzerland. What begins with heads-down preparation ends with a big wrap-up party. “We work as a diverse group to improve the lives of millions through data-driven medicine, then we come together to celebrate our successes,” said Ross Muken. After more than 20 years in life sciences and health technology, Ross Muken was well acquainted with the vision of leaders at SOPHiA GENETICS before he became the company’s CFO. An ambitious path to change the world

After completing her PhD, Irina Krier pursued her interest in “concrete product development” rather than academics. Since joining SOPHiA GENETICS six years ago, she’s made an impact across departments, from next-generation sequencing to setting up a quality and regulatory design assurance team. “It’s extremely gratifying to contribute to the company’s growth, processes and product development, while also mentoring new recruits and fostering team spirit,” she said. Participating in hackathons and weekly research and development seminars allows Krier to continue evolving her professional path.
