Conduct applied systems security research across ideation, proposal development, prototyping, experimentation, and technology transition. Design secure systems software, evaluate features in projects such as Linux, Xen, QEMU, and LLVM, and develop research tools using C/C++, Rust, Python, and Assembly. Lead technical investigations, mentor colleagues, author proposals and publications, communicate findings, and collaborate across research and engineering teams.

Conduct cryptography and formal methods research focused on developing models, mechanized proofs, verification techniques, and security research prototypes. Collaborate across cryptography, programming languages, formal methods, and systems software. Communicate findings through publications, reports, presentations, and briefings, while supporting research planning and proposal development. The role requires cryptographic research experience, formal verification expertise, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Leads cybersecurity research and development efforts involving offensive cyber, systems security engineering, formal methods, and security software. Develops prototypes, directs technical execution, mentors researchers, strengthens research program delivery, and shares results with customers and industry. Builds customer relationships, supports technical marketing and business development, and leads capture activities to expand national security research opportunities.
