Formal Methods Research Intern supporting specification and verification of systems-level software for cyber and systems security. Responsibilities include developing formal-methods expertise, creating specifications and proofs in Rocq and Lean, building tools in Rust and OCaml, documenting technical decisions, and collaborating on research involving machine-checkable security properties, verification tools, and formal-methods techniques.

Develops and maintains enterprise software across the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and support. The role involves full-stack development with Java, Spring, Angular, databases, REST APIs, DevOps tools, and web applications. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, technical documentation, statistical analysis, stakeholder collaboration, customer support, and contributing to future software roadmaps. The position requires an active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Lead cybersecurity research and development efforts spanning offensive cyber, systems security engineering, formal methods, and security software. Develop and prototype new security technologies, manage technical execution, mentor contributors, support customer relationships and business development, and contribute to research programs and technical marketing. The role requires strong computing expertise, research experience, leadership in capture activities, and eligibility for a Top Secret clearance.

Conduct cryptography research; design, prove, prototype, and evaluate cryptographic primitives, protocols, and systems. Develop implementations involving multiparty computation, distributed key generation, private information retrieval, and privacy-preserving machine learning. Collaborate across formal methods, programming languages, and systems software. Communicate findings through publications, reports, presentations, and briefings, while supporting research planning and proposal development.

Conduct applied systems security research across ideation, proposal development, prototyping, experimentation, and technology transition. Design secure systems software, evaluate features in projects such as Linux, Xen, QEMU, and LLVM, and develop research tools using C/C++, Rust, Python, and Assembly. Lead technical investigations, mentor colleagues, author proposals and publications, communicate findings, and collaborate across research and engineering teams.
