Performs utilization management for an inpatient care management population, supporting quality, safety, financial outcomes, patient throughput, care coordination, and best-practice adoption. The RN reviews and discusses patient medical information, collaborates across teams, manages multiple priorities, meets deadlines, and contributes to Mercy’s integrated care management model remotely.

Leads the strategic design, analysis, implementation, communication, compliance, and administration of health and welfare benefit programs. Manages complex initiatives, vendor relationships, financial analyses, and regulatory reviews while partnering with HR, Finance, Legal, Payroll, and external vendors. Provides recommendations to improve caregiver experience, control costs, and ensure compliance. Mentors benefits staff and serves as a senior subject matter expert on benefits issues and strategic projects.

Drives measurable growth across strategic geographic areas and healthcare service lines. Develops business development and operational plans, manages sales pipelines, analyzes complex data, builds relationships with healthcare leaders, presents to executives and boards, negotiates partnerships, and supports strategic planning. The role requires strong communication, project management, financial analysis, and healthcare business development capabilities.

Leads application development across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, coding, debugging, testing, data warehouse development, system implementation, documentation, and user training. Analyzes complex business problems and develops cost-effective automated solutions. Requires expertise in Cogito, Caboodle, data modeling, SQL-based data analysis, code management, and agile methodologies, with preferred Epic HB/BP experience and Clarity certification.

Handles high-volume insurance receivables, resolving unpaid, denied, and underpaid claims. Communicates with stakeholders, processes claims accurately and efficiently, and supports healthcare revenue cycle operations. The role is hybrid, requiring in-office work one half-day per week.

Analyzes business requirements, processes, and workflows to define technology solutions. Performs functional analysis, application configuration, prototyping, specifications, data mapping, testing, security setup, documentation, interface design, migration, and reconciliation. Identifies and resolves process gaps, supports system modifications, and develops light-programming workarounds. The role may lead complex projects, manage vendors and stakeholders, and design UKG integrations using Boomi.

Facilitate insurance and benefit analysis before service delivery: review appointments/admissions, obtain authorizations, calculate out-of-pocket responsibility, manage insurance referrals and coordination, secure timely reimbursement, complete financial clearance tasks, and mentor fellow patient benefit staff.

Lead and manage ACPE-accredited Clinical Pastoral Education programs, ensuring accreditation compliance, developing curriculum for Levels I/II and CEC candidates, supervising and evaluating students, recruiting and admitting candidates, maintaining accreditation records, and collaborating with Spiritual Care and Mission leaders to advance Mercy's CPE offerings including virtual education.
