The Knowledge and Innovation Counsel leads AI and knowledge management initiatives for assigned legal practice groups. Responsibilities include identifying use cases, guiding attorneys on AI tools, customizing prompts and workflows, curating precedents and playbooks, delivering legal and technology training, analyzing adoption data, supporting solution development, monitoring legal technology developments, and representing innovation priorities to firm leadership. The role also mentors junior knowledge professionals and partners with attorneys, clients, and technology teams.

Supports Tax and Private Client marketing by executing campaigns, thought leadership, email nurture programs, events, website content, videos, social media, and promotional materials. Maintains lawyer biographies, analyzes campaign performance using KPIs and dashboards, monitors industry and competitor trends, and identifies opportunities to improve engagement, generate demand, and support cross-selling.

Manage and improve Contract-to-Cash systems (billing, A/R, collections, revenue management) through operational support, roadmap ownership, process discovery, requirements definition, vendor management, automation/AI pilots, system enhancements, testing, deployment, controls alignment, and metrics-driven continuous improvement across accounting and finance functions.

Provide data-entry and administrative support for client fee arrangements, rate setup changes, and non-standard arrangement records. Manage assignment of change requests, group inbox triage, and respond to time, billing, and disbursement rule inquiries while following established guidelines and working under direct supervision.

Lead the firms awards and recognition program: develop strategy and annual calendar, identify high-value opportunities, draft and edit submissions to firm style and AP Style, partner with internal teams, track outcomes in CRM, analyze metrics, and support directory submissions.

Lead creative vision and delivery for McDermott events from intimate gatherings to 2,000+ attendee signature events. Design immersive physical and digital experiences, oversee digital assets and on-site branding, manage creative workflows and timelines, brief and direct internal designers and external vendors, and ensure cohesive, on-brand execution on time and on budget.

Build and maintain centralized pricing data infrastructure, scalable workflows, and data pipelines; integrate AI capabilities; deliver pricing tools, reporting, and governance to support data-driven pricing and budgeting across the firm.
